I agree she’s just a scared little girl, opposite to the first comment instead of disdain I have empathy. She is doing what she think best as best she can. She is fighting what she considers an unwinable war.

Don’t get attached to the characters, a lot of them will die. Even some of the mc’s. Watch as empires are slaughtered for revenge and the bloody process of replacing the leadership in countries.
