"Do you think we're making a mistake?"
Aria whispered, her breath warm against Dante's skin as they caught their breath on the rooftop. The thrill of their moment lingered in the air, but doubts crept in as the stars twinkled above.
Dante pulled back slightly, searching her eyes for sincerity. "Why would you think that?" he asked, his brow furrowing in concern.
"Because…" Aria hesitated, her heart racing. "Luca won't just let this go. He'll find out, and when he does, I don't know what he's capable of."
Dante's gaze hardened, determination etched into his features. "Then we need to be smarter. I won't let him hurt you, Aria. You have my word."
A shiver of fear and excitement coursed through her. "But what if he decides to go after you instead? I can't let that happen."
"Then let's keep this between us for now. We'll figure it out together," he said, his voice steady and reassuring.
