"Kyojuro! You should really become a demon." yelled the pink haired demon. He felt exhilarated for meeting a human this strong for the first time. What could he say to make that powerful human join him? The prospect of being able to fight Kyojuro until the end of times made him quiver in anticipation. "Why stay human Kyojuro? Humans only live for a few decades. Demons can live forever. Humans are weak."

"The strength or weakness of humans cannot be measured by how they can handle a sword or throw a punch." said Rengoku "If you base them like that then... aren't you the weak one?"

"I'M NOT WEAK!" screamed Akaza while throwing punches at him. "Join me and you'll understand."

Humans were weak and demons were strong. That's what Rengoku was taught to believe all his life. Was that all there was? What if demons, in their own way, were weak too? If that were so then could this pink haired demon in its own way be asking for help?

"If I join you, do you promise to let them go?" said Rengoku, taking a step back "Not just them. Promise you won't hurt humans and I'll accompany you."

"Won't hurt humans? I can't promise that. Do you know? We need blood to live. Once I turn you, you will crave it too." said Akaza with an honest and creepy smile on his face.

Rengoku gave another step back turning to Tanjiro and the others "Don't look at me like that. You might not understand it now but my mum told me that the strong ones are born to help and protect the weak. That's why we fight demons, to protect humans. But what if some demons need help too?"

"You think I need protecting?" Akaza laughed out loud "Oi oi. You're the one losing this fight. And there's no one strong enough to save you."

Rengoku smiled and walked towards the forest "Young boy, we shall meet again. Your sister is one of us, she fought to protect humans. I shall continue protecting the weak my own way." Akaza smiled wickedly and he too turned his back and walked off.
