Where is my man

The fire was pouring from everywhere .rays of the sun painted the sky with red and orange hue as it was concealing itself behind a dark and red cloud.

The king felled on the ground from the top of his black horse as his crown was floating in the air seeking for another proud man who claimed it.

Almost all guards and knights with red armour were laying on the ground in their own blood, everyone but the Queen she was still breathing softly when blue soldiers were gone.

Anyone makes a mistake sometimes, and this time blue soldiers of house Norman made a mistake by letting Queen's body go without passing their sword through her body to make sure if she is dead.

So the Queen laid there in her blood almost after three days, she got conscious, for a few moments of confusion, called for her maids as she heard nothing. Feeling the firm and hot sand under her body. Squeezed her eyes and opened them. Faced a strange creature like a crab or something, traced its movements onto a dead body with her eyes. She noticed that she is still in the battlefield surrounded by dead bodies of her army,

gathered her energy to sit on red sand as she ripped off her skirt to bandage a mortal Wound on her lap. Looked here and there to find her husband, the king of her heart and kingdom, she couldn't recognize his royal body shape in the crowd of the dead, narrowed her eyes to see more clearly. There was nothing but sand and broken sword and blade, she reached out onto a soldier near her and pulled out the bag of water that he carried under his belt, and drained all the water in it, then stood up in pain and fear.

'where are the horses?" she asked in grief although there was no answer, she missed her husband, wished he was by her side to help, his lovely man who had a healthy body and wise mind, she missed him already and couldn't accept his death! How dared he to leave her so soon after all those promises? What will happen to her now?

She winced in pain as she was wandering in pain, despite the bandage, blood was oozing out of her lap, she couldn't die in this hot desert, not now! The world was turning around her she tried hard to ignore dizzy and open her way to throw the stiff wind that was starting to beat her in an unfair battle, she never cries not even now! After a few minutes of walking, she heard some men were talking.

Stepped onto them and noticed they were prince's soldiers.due to their blue armours. They were drunk and high cause of their victorious on the battlefield. And must have a little feast as well. Loren wanted to grab her sword and kill both of them. Still, she was wiser than that. She could recognize that it wasn't the right time, and she had to wait for her glorious revenge. Then stood on her feet painfully, walked onto a horse as she was dragging her injured leg behind herself as she reached to the enormous brown horse-pulled herself up to sit on its back with a lot of effort, she was lucky enough to not notice by Prince Gordan's drunken soldiers.

As she laid on the horse's back and wrapped her arms around his tall and bulky neck, made it to run fast onto the Court, she promised to get her husband's revenge from them!

Queen Loren was wearing a long violet cloak with a silver armour which made her feel hot, her body covered with sweat as she couldn't breathe easily! Her long silver boots were killing her; they were heavy and too hot as well!

As she reached back to the palace, gate's guard didn't notice her, at first one of them get closer to identify her personality, as she faced his wounded Queen helped her down and called for one of the guards, and handed him the dying Queen.

Loren looked up at the guard's face, uncourteously felt finally safe.

Loren " who are you?" she gasped half faintly as she was holding onto his strong arm.

Guard tried hard to be as polite as he can as he was getting her onto the medical part of the palace.

Guard " Kevin your grace" he introduced himself in a polite tone as he finally reached to the maester of the Court's room called for him sternly and harsh, made Loren squeeze her eyes annoyed with his loud voice.

Guard " I'm sorry your grace, he wouldn't notice me if I'm not loud enough for his older ears."

Loren cast a soft and faintly smile as she closed her eyes again. Finally, the maester got out of the room and let them in; he got shocked as he noticed this is Queen who wounded!

Maester " where are the others, your grace? what happened?"

Loren would explain if she had enough energy to talk, but don't expect she can speak in this situation drown in her blood and tiered she was starving as well, she didn't have anything to eat for days!

Loren " send someone to my father" she coughed as maester was changing her bandage after laying some medical leaves on it. Then Loren added "tell him that we need him to get our revenge, also I can't lose my cousin and husband's kingdom!" she coughed again as she was managing to breathe.

The maester didn't let her talk anymore; he gave her some water and ordered the maid who was in the room to get the Queen some bread and rousted duck.

maester "we will do it, my Queen, don't worry with this stuff, focus on your healing"the older maester replied with a low tone as he was cleaning her other scars and wounds.

Loren "I need a bath" she whimpered painfully as the maester nodded "I let your maid take care of that as well, you close your eyes for now," he said in a fatherly tone as he was checking her body temperature.

When she woke up from a deep sleep, her maids helped her to take a bath and changed all her bandages then laid her on the clean bedsheets as the Queen drifted off in a deep sleep.

King's hand wrote a letter to Loren's father, king of the north to get them some of his armies, as his nephew's alliance, Bash sent them some of his troops, but they were a little far from them, so they only hopped that the army gets here on time.

Simmon, a tall, middle-aged man, looked over at the other men in the Console.

Simmon " we only have 600 men left in the castle and Gordon might attack us at any moments!" he groaned angrily slammed his fists on the table.

one of the lords who was the youngest and the immature one shook his head in desperate relieved " I wish the king were alive instead the queen, women cant do these works!"

Everyone gave him a stern glare, although they agreed with him deep in their hearts. Still, no one was allowed to speak behind Queen's back that way!

Loren " you assume too much about yourself, young man," she said as she was getting into the Console without anyone noticing her entrance, she was pale. In pain, as she was strolling, still she tried hard to hold on to her gentle way of talk and glorious smile.

Everyone stand up when she reached onto the large wooden table, and a servant pulled out a chair for her to sit.

Loren " who are you to think women are disabled for war strategies? I don't think any men could get out of that deadly battle but a strong woman like me" she relieved proudly as she was staring at the young lord, he was looking down at his glass of wine totally embarrassed by the situation.

Simmon cleared his throat as the king's hand to get Loren's attention onto himself.

Simmon " Of course we don't doubt your abilities in war and all other stuff your grace, and I'm sure he is regret already for what he said earlier, I ask you for mercy and let us start the meeting."

Loren nodded as she gazed at him with her brown eyes and let her golden hair behind her shoulders.

Loren "You started it without my presence already, ser" she raised an eyebrow and made him look down embarrassed, but the lord put himself together quickly and replied.

Simmon " I thought your grace is wounded and needs to get rest."

Loren furrowed her tiny and black eyebrows" don't assume things instead of me, since now until we have an heir, I am ruling instead of my husband."

Everyone wanted to protest looked at each other than at the Queen, but no one dared to say a word, so she smirked slightly then drank a sip of her wine.

Loren " we shall start"

as she commanded everyone nodded and gave her their plans and advice she watched them and heard them clearly, ignoring the sharp pain of her wound and her headache at the end she decided and gazed at them all.

Loren " we wait for them, when they get here, I show them who we are"

everyone looked at her surprise as she smirked and let them be in their confusion.
