Chapter 149

My heart sunk when he shook his head. "I am afraid not, Ariane. He could find a witch powerful enough to open a portal to here. We are searching each one out that is powerful enough, but it is going slow. With their power they also can hide from us."

I staggered and fell back against Loki. Something told me that if Dean got his hands on me again it would be very bad for me.

"Cas… what happened to him? He wasn't like this before. Not even when he was possessed by a Demon or when he was dealing with the Mark of Cain."

Cas sighed. "I don't know. I have never seen him like this either. I even risked a talk with Lucifer about this."

I gaped at him. "CAS! Are you ok? Did he try to hurt you?"

"I appreciate the concern, Ariane. But even Lucifer likes you and no harm came to me as we were speaking about you. He is uncertain what is wrong with Dean as well. No one in our realm knows what has happened to cause him to be like this. I don't want to disturb your new life, but I felt you needed to know."

I hugged Cas. "I appreciate it. I miss you and your way with slang. Please come visit again if you're able. I don't know how hard it is for you to get here. Maybe someday you can bring Sam. I always liked him. He was always nice to me."

"I can do that. We miss you too. But the knowledge that you are where you are meant to be makes it easier. I will keep you updated on Dean if I hear anything." Cas paused and brought out a box. "I have some things for you."

He pulled out four bracelets that had two beads on them, one white and one black. He gave one to me and my guys. "Wear these. If you are in trouble, use these to contact us. If you rub the white, I will come. The black will bring Crowley. With Dean off the radar, we want to be able to help protect you. There is one for each of you in case something happens to you, then your husbands may summon us as well."

I was terrified. For him and Crowley to have given us these, it told me just how worried they were about Dean finding me. Loki's arms came around me and he looked worried when he felt how much I was shaking.

"How dangerous to her is this Dean?" Loki looked at Cas.

"Very, I'm afraid." I felt everyone else come closer as Cas continued. "Dean is a skilled Hunter which makes him dangerous. But with this obsession he now has for Ariane, he won't stop until he either has her, or she is dead. And he will not hesitate to kill her if he is not able to take her. I also fear for her safety if he were to be able to take her. I fear it would be much like her past, possibly even worse as he would not hesitate to rape her."

My brain froze and my legs gave out. Loki kept me from falling and held me close. 

"We will not let him near you, my love. We will keep you safe. I would not lose you for the world, you or our children." 

I nodded and looked at Cas. "Thank you, Cas. For coming and warning me. And for caring and being my friend."

"I wish I had come with better news, but I am happy to see you with husbands and with child. I will come again. And yes, I will bring Sam. I know he will be happy to see you."

There was a flutter like the sound of bird's wings and then Cas was gone. I started to shiver. I knew Dean better than they did and I knew what he was capable of. My last encounter with him left me with a deep-rooted fear of him and it was threatening to overcome me. My breathing became labored as my panic attack hit full force. This new knowledge about Dean, coupled with knowing my guys were all leaving again, was just too much.

"Ariane… breathe. It's ok. We will keep you safe. Match my breathing, love. Listen to my heart and it will be ok."

Loki was usually able to calm me, but it wasn't working this time. My chest just got tighter, and I could barely breathe. The fact that Dean was obsessed with me now scared the shit out of me.

"Barnes… Thor… help me! I can't get her panic calmed and she can't breathe!"

Loki was looking a little panicked himself. I felt Bucky and Thor's arms come around me and sat in the circle of their arms. 

"Breathe, Angel. Listen to our breathing and match us. Listen to Loki's heart, my heart, Bucky's heart. They all beat for only you. Be easy, my Angel."

It was starting to be easier to breathe. 

"There you go, Doll. Slow and steady. We got you, baby. Just relax and breathe with us."

I felt Loki's tears on my shoulder. "It is ok, my beautiful wife. We are here. You are safe. We will not let harm come to you."

My panic eased and my attack ended. I sagged against them. "I'm sorry. It's just… last time scared me. I know what he's capable of when he was in a dark place before. And Cas says it's worse now, so I panicked. He'll hurt me if he gets his hands on me. And he could end up hurting the babies or make me lose them."

I felt them all shudder at the thought of me and the babies hurt, and they all tightened their hold. 

"Not gonna happen, Kiddo. I know the guys will protect you but so will we. No one comes and hurts our family. We'll add him to the list with Sharon."

I nodded and felt overwhelmed with the level of support from everyone. 

"Thanks everyone. You don't know how much that means to me." I stood up and gave Tony a hug. "Do we have a way to try to track the dumbfuck twatwaffle?"

He laughed and hugged me back. "Yep. I'll get that started."

I heard the doorbell. "Anyone expecting a package or something?"

Tony nodded. "Yeah, I ordered a few parts to upgrade F.R.I.D.A.Y."

"Cool. I'll get the door then. You guys can go head to do whatever. After this I'm gonna take a nap. Releasing that much rage energy made me tired."

"I bet. Ok, just bring the box to the lab."

"Sure thing."

I made my way out of the living room to the front door. 

'Your ass looks amazing this morning my pet.'

I wiggled my ass and heard Loki's laughter roll through my head as he headed back to the kitchen. Laughing, I opened the door and my laughter died and terror took over. Dean stood there with a dark look I didn't recognize. I heard Bucky screaming for everyone and Loki and Thor's roars of rage as they all ran towards the door. The last thing I saw was Dean's fist as it hit me in the face.
