Angry With My Crush

It has been 30mins now since the van took off but there was still an awkward silence and tension. Daisy laid her head on Philip's shoulder and drifted off to sleep. Mimie and Crystal starred at each other then back to Lucretia. Mike and Eugene were busy on their phones surfing the net.

"Um..,Luc?" uttered Philip in the bid to calm her down but Lucretia turned away, took out her earphones and plugged them in her ears. He sighed and turned away.

Mimie and Crystal looked on and sighed.

Jayden was also busy on his phone when Mimie nudged him on the ribs. He raised his eyes from his phone and noticed clumsy a raised eyebrow, Crystal gestured Jayden to talk to Lucretia.

Jayden turned to look at Lucretia then back to them. He smiled and nodded in response.

Lucretia was still looking through the window listening to her music when suddenly someone plugged one of her earphones from her ears. She turned to look at the culprit.

"Can I listen together with you?" queried Jayden with a smile.

"Sure.." she replied with a slight smile and turned away.

Jayden plugged in one of the earphones into his left ear and relaxed his back on the seat.

"Are you okay?" he queried.

"Huh..." mumbled Lucretia turning to face him.

"You look like there is something going on in your mind. Do you care to share it with me?" he questioned.

"Umm.., it's nothing serious. I'm fine." she replied with a grin.

"Sure..?" he inquired.

"Yeah.." she replied with a smile.

Jayden starred at her in silence for a short while, sat upright and took her hand into hers. All this while, Philip was sitting in the far seat starring at them with Daisy asleep on his shoulder. Mimie and Crystal were also busy on their phones in the opposite seat whiles Eugene and Mike were fast asleep in the back seat.

"I know you have feelings for Philip but can you give me the chance to take care of you?" uttered Jayden with a concerned look.

Lucretia starred at him a little stunned. She sheepishly released her hand from his and turned away. Jayden smiled and relaxed his back on his seat once again.

There was an awkward silence between them for a while then Jayden spoke up on hearing his favourite track.

"Wow...flashlight by Jess J. I love this music." he uttered gleefully, changing the topic to release the awkwardness between them and it worked.

"Yeah..., I love it too. It's among my favourite tracks." she replied, beaming with smiles.

"Yeah, it's a good song." he answered with a grin.

"It sure is and oh, I've you heard of Fight song by

Rachel Platten? It's also one of my favourites." she murmured gleefully.

"Really?, I've not listened to that yet." he uttered.

"Here, let me play it for you." she answered scowling through her song list. She pressed the play button and the song started. Jayden listened quietly for a while enjoying the song.

"Wow.., it's a nice song. I love it." he muttered with a smile.

Soon they were humming to the song, laughing and giggling.

Philip looked on feeling jealous.

After about an hour of driving, the van finally pulled up in front of the fair.

"We're here." uttered Mr. Felix as he packed the car.

They all smiled, took their bags and snacks and got off the bus.

"Thank you Mr. Felix." they uttered in Unison.

"Welcome kids. I will wait for you over here in the car. Enjoy yourselves." he uttered with a smile.

"Okay.." they chorused and left off to the fair. They first went to find a spot and packed their snacks and bags. Philip tried to talk to Lucretia but she ignored him.

"Let's go together Jayden." she uttered, took Jayden's hand and they left together to the play ground.

"C'mon guys.." she exclaimed over her shoulder.

"Coming.." exclaimed Mimie.

They left in pairs; Mimie with Crystal, followed by Mike and Eugene. Daisy also quickly found a place for her things and dropped them.

"Aren't you coming?" she questioned on noticing Philip still standing aloof.

"I am." he replied with a smile and walked over to her. She held his hand with a smile and they left.

They first went to the merry-go-round. Mimie and Crystal sat in a pair seat, Mike and Eugene in one, Jayden and Lucretia in the other and also Daisy and Philip. Lucretia and Jayden laughed heartedly as it spins around and Philip couldn't help stealing glances at them. Daisy noticed him and held his hand. He turned to her and smiled.

Some few minutes later, they got down from the merry-go-round and dashed off to the train wheel. They took their seats and the train took off. They laughed and screamed as the train went round. They had lots of fun.

It around 1pm, they all gathered at their spots and had some snacks. Lucretia was still not talking to Philip. she glared at Daisy and turned back to her friends. Philip sighed and looked down.

"Is she still not talking to you?" whispered Mike into Philip's ears.

Philip turned to him and nodded.

"Have you tried talking to her?" he muttered into his ears.

"Yes I have but she didn't give me the chance." he whispered Philip to Mike.

"Sorry man.." he replied, patting his shoulder.

After having their snacks, they left off to the photo boots to take pictures and went ahead to have more fun.

It's already 4pm now, they packed their things and left off to the vain. They got there to meet Mr. Felix not in the van. They sent their eyes searching the environment and saw him approaching.

"Have you been her for long?" he queried as he neared them.

"No.." they shook their head.

He unlocked the car and opened the door for them. They all got in and took their seats.

"Hope you enjoyed the fair." inquired Jayden as he sat beside Lucretia.

"Yes.." she replied smile, met Philip's gaze and turned away.

After they've all settled in the van, the driver drove off. He first dropped Mike and Eugene at their various houses. Then he drove off to Lucretia and Philip's house. Philip kissed Daisy on the cheeks and got off followed by Lucretia.

"Thank you Mr. Felix." they murmured.

"Welcome.." he smiled.

They waved their friends and the van drove off.

Lucretia turned to leave to her compound but Philip held her back.

"Luc...,let's talk." he uttered. Lucretia sighed and turned to face him.

"What's your problem Luc?" he queried

"oh you don't know?" she questioned

"What do you have against Daisy? Why are you being so dramatic?" he questioned

"So is it my fault now?" asked Lucretia furiously.

"You know something Phil? Let's just stop it here. I don't want to talk about this anymore." she replied and dashed off to her house.

"Hey...Luc..?" he muttered but she ignored him, slammed the door opened and went in.

Philip stood silently for a while and sighed.
