At that moment, not only was Zander shocked, he looked at Lucas as if he were looking at a monster.
He clearly saw that day when the guard had used his power to cripple Lucas's Core point, if the core point was crippled, the owner would forever be powerless and his strength would be at the level of an ordinary person. Even he, who was at the first level of the soul lining grade was crippled as well and his strength followed accordingly
However, his young master had broken through this iron clad rule and his core point had successfully healed and not only did it heal, he even broke through to the first level of the dawn tier stage
Core energy was the beginning of the life of a powerhouse. The initial step for every young martial artist was to reach into the surfaces of their souls to activate their core energy from the core point where it was stored in hiding. After releasing that energy, it would flow out to strengthen the body and underground earth shaking changes. Not only would the body be strengthened, speed and stamina would be increased to new heights depending on the individuals natural talent.
After activating the core energy and breaking through to the first stage, the next step would be to raise ones levels until that person broke through to the First level Soul lining grade, where their souls would no longer be at the surface and would once again go several layers deeper.
Once that occurs, they would be able to obtain their Spatial class.
A spatial class would give it inheritor special abilities, higher levels of strength, new professions and other things as well.
The spatial class couldn't be directly chosen and appeared randomly depending on the person talent and fate itself. But despite the fact that it couldn't be chosen, it could still be influenced to some extent from youth in several ways.
For example, someone who is really nimble and possesses talent in terms of speed and concealment would most likely end up as an assassin while some with heavy bodies would be heavy soldiers like Guardians. Apart from natural talent, genes and bloodline could also greatly influence the outcome of a spatial class and when someone breaks through to the soul lining grade and comprehends spatial class, their spatial classes would gift them heaven defying abilities that would only appear in those scifi movies back on earth.
Another influencing party would be the cultivation methods studied before they broke through to the soul lining grade.
This was how the the laws were in his new world, the strong were respected and the weak was lowly like ants.Lucas had a good understanding of this now that he has completely fused with the memories of the previous owners.
The world he was currently on was called Dagen continent, and according to prior understanding, the rules of heaven and earth where much different and such more complex.
When Lucas had fused with the memories of his predecessor, he faintly realized some clues as to what was currently happening to him. When he arrived at this place, he was similar to Zander as he thought that with his crippled core point, there was no way he could be a legendary figure like he once was on earth and get revenge on that bastard back at the graymoore family. However, reality proved that he was wrong when he decided to cultivate from hunger and boredom as slaves were given very little food and extremely low treatment.
He faintly noticed on the first week of his arrival that when he cultivated, he could sense some changes in his core point. Using his soul energy to investigate, what he saw caused him to feel greatly shocked.
"Its-its, its the black and gold page from the cave three months ago!!"
That's right, he could clearly feel that the black and white page was clearly exuding a faint aura that was surrounding his core point slowly yet steadily and was reversing the damage that had occured on his core point. That alone caused him to feel frightened with excitement.
Moreover, it didn't stop there. He could clearly feel that the weak constitution that had followed this body around like a plague for more than three years was finally being strengthened and the core energy that could never develop was actually showing signs of forming.
Because of that, lucas didn't dare hesitate and anytime the guards were absent, he would use that time to cultivate and he could feel the nourishment that came from that book page. In three months time, he finally broke through to the first level of the dawn tier grade. "He... He actually broke through, if his mother could see him now, she would be happy to the point of going mad. Even though he is currently behind his generation by almost two years, its still remarkable that he is able to breakthrough with a severe core point".
"Sigh, its a pity that he had to breakthrough in a slaves cage, once the guard find out about this, they will either move Him to a stronger cage and immediately plan to sell him or destroy his core point again. Although I don't know how he managed to do it, I doubt his core point could recover twice from a direct attack". Zander said with a grim face that had a severe burn mark on one half of it. That mark was precisely a slave brand.
Lucas naturally didn't know what Zander's was thinking. His was still immersed in cultivation and his soul energy stretched out to prove the black and gold page. Upon coming close to it, he could clearly see a lot of words on the page but he couldn't make out what they were as they were written in another laguage. However on the top of the page, some very large words were written in English, "Book Of Sovereigns/ Cultivation method/ Demon Summoning Sovereign Forms".
Those words confused him a lot at the beginning. After a while he realized that this page was supposedly called, the book of sovereigns, and clearly this was no ordinary book. When he crossed through hundreds of cultivation methods in the memories of the old lucas, he didn't seem to recall anything called Demon summoning sovereign.
He could faintly feel that the book was for some reason and in a strange way, trying to communicate with him.
A book communicating with a human being, if anyone hears what was going through Lucas's head, they would most likely think he has gone crazy. However, it was indeed as he thought.
This simple page was resonating with energy and was sending information to his brainwaves and he could somehow faintly discern what was happening.
The page was actually urging him to accept to cultivate the Demon summoning Sovereign methods. For someone like Lucas in this type of situation, it was unusual but at the same time, it was a gift from the Gods.
A cultivation method for someone who hadn't broken through to the first level dawn tier grade in two years was undoubtedly tempting especially for someone like lucas who was an expert all rounded soldier in his previous life. He currently needed strength if he had any dreams of escaping from this hellhole where he was being held as a slave. The problem was, he had no idea what he was getting himself into.
Coupled with the fact that his soul was not from this world, this kind of cultivation method did not exist in the memories of the old lucas. Although it may seem normal that a 16 year old did not know such cultivation method, the problem was that the old lucas was no normal 16 years old.
After he was struck with his constitution deteriorating sickness, he had apple time to learn all sorts of things about different cultivation methods, strengths, weaknesses of certain classes, spirit pills, spirit fruits, fierce monsters and so in and so forth. Although it couldn't be taken seriously to a stage where he was an expert, it was far more than what the ordinary person would know. For that reason, the fact that this method was unheard of caused him to have a slight lingering fear.
If it was a useless cultivation method, his spatial class would be useless as well and his desire for strength would be flushed down the toilet.
However at this moment, did he really have a choice?
The answer was no, as not only did he need to escape from this place, he needed to escape from it tonight.
The slave market held branding sessions once every three months and due to the fact that the old lucas got into serious trouble with a guard the day that he was supposed to receive his slave brand, he was instead beaten to near death and tossed back into his cage, narrowly escaping.
That was more than enough for him to thank the old possessor of this body. Having a slave brand would mean that there would be nowhere for you to hide even if you managed to escape. As such, the slave trading company would easily be able to track their targets who ran away from them the moment they stepped back into society.
Currently, the next branding session was tomorrow and he was determined to escape tonight.
After sighing helplessly, Lucas accepted the waves of energy resonating from the Book of sovereigns page and he immediately felt the Cultivation method of the Demon Summoning sovereign method.
He circulated his core energy around his body as fast as possible and the page slowly felt his acceptance and resonated with him. Time slowly passed by, after a few hours, it was already late at night and the guards would pass with intervals of an hour. While sitting cross legged, lucas was being fed waves of information that he had no idea of before.
Suddenly, the Sovereign page light up in completed gold as it started to flash around his core point. Lucas looking at this scene was dumbfounded as the energy was going haywire. Soon however the energy in the page burst out and instantly filled his entire body.
Lucas was greatly perturbed and extremely uncomfortable as vast waves of energy flew out of his core point and as he opened his eyes, they emitted a faint golden color. It felt like a small bomb had gone off in his body.
After a while, the energy calmed down as Lucas finally got a grasp on what was currently happening to him. He curiously swept his soul energy to inspect the page. After seeing nothing wrong with it, he swept out to inspect his body and he was shocked when he saw something.
"That... It can't be possible! According to the laws of Dagen continent..... But am not even at the soul lining grade yet, what type of heaven defying cultivation force is this?"
Lucas had a face filled with shock and excitement. He hurriedly calmed himself down but still failed to suppress the smile on his face.
When the guard walked past his cage to do another circle of inspections, Lucas who had been staying cross legged finally got up.He slowly got up and moved towards the cage door.
"Young master, what are you doing?" Zander frowned when he saw Lucas move towards the door, "This kid couldn't really want to stir up trouble with the guard right?" However the next scene caused his jaws to drop.
Under his watchful gaze, Lucas who was standing near the cage had two dim golden lights in his pupils that was exuding feint core energy.
"Let's see if this cultivation method is for real".
"Unranked Skill/ Shadow Clone technique".
His two eyes lit up slightly and the air outside the cage a few meters away from the patrolling guard suddenly condensed. The guard who was slightly bored felt the air was strange and his gaze landed on a figure that was slowly materializing from nothing. The guard was shocked to the point that he couldn't even move for a while.
The condensing air materialized into a five foot, seven inches tall, blonde haired youth that wasn't wearing anything on the upper area of his body and his pants looked jagged and tattered. His golden brown eyes started directly at the guard and in it was a hint of lifelessness and coldness. From his appearance, he was at the same height as the guard because the patrolling guard was originally a average height fellow to begin with, and he looked to be not more than 16 years old.
"What the hell is going on?.. That's-That's... That's the young master standing outside the cage, but the young master is also standing inside the cage with me as well. What the f**k is happening right now?".
However, the astonished and fearful gaze of Zander was a direct contrast to the golden haired bare backed youth who was standing at the door of the cage. He currently had a smiling expression as he breathed a sigh of relief and excitement was visible on his face.
"I did it, I really did it, looks like this page in my core point wasn't kidding when it showed me this skill. To think that I actually comprehended a skill before entering the first level of the soul Lining grade and its..... Its.... An assassin skill".
"Whatever that old voice was three months ago, I would probably thank him if he was still alive".
