Chapter 17

As we ran to the Crystal Moon Pack I remember everything that was told to me about the pack. 

I remember when I first met Kyle Moon. He was a 16 year old who had already shifted and was making himself known to everyone that he had power. Boy did I knock him down a few pegs.Well lets just say that he had a wake up call that was called my family's training. 

My family business was hired to guard him. From what danger that may be? His father did not know how to make friends that caused his son needed to be protected. Oh he was pissed off that his dad sent him off to be taken care of.

Flash back

"Why is it that I have to listen to you?" Kyle snarled at me. "You are a rouge."

"Am I?" I asked. ""Right now you are being protected by my father and uncles. Plus my pack that has been brought together and look at me as alpha."

"What do you mean that I am under your pack protection?" Kyle asked. 

"Well they adopted me and are my family," I told him. "You are being protected by their business and that makes it my pack is protecting you. We give werewolves that need a job and do not have a pack a place. They choose to follow me into a fight and guard my back. We trust each other to watch each others backs. Also we go and help more people than most and have a lot of money coming in that covers most of our expenses. Oh on that note we have bothhumans and Packs asking for our aid so you want me to respect you. Bull you earn it, Here we may protect you but you will be training and working for everything you want. We do not hand things out for nothing. MY dad, uncles and I are top dogs here. You are just another job for us that we can return at any time we want."

"So the fact that I am a soon-to-be Alpha means nothing to you?" he question.

"Correct," I anwsered him. "You are not Alpha as of yet meaning you are not important to me. Also I know what your father has been doing. I have ears everywhere and ways to gather information that not even the packs know about. Keeping track of what is going on is very important. But I have both humans and wolves working together. Saved a few hunters from wolves who chose to be murders. They work for me and understand what I have been doing. See I hunt down wolves who kill for pleasure. They are the danger to everyone around us. On that not I have teams that have humans and wolves working together. Everyone swore a oath to me and became part of my pack. We are a family Kyle and as family we protect each other. Yes they go out and do assignments. But that is part of how we earn money and get information. Only a few Alpha's know about me and I am going to keep it that way unless I need to step forward to take care of problems. So you are not a baby no more and not a child> But you are a young adult that needs to learn where the lines are and what responsibility means. Yes you may be the next Alpha to your pack but do you truely understand what comes with that job. Before you leave to return to your father you will tell me what an Alpha is suppose to do for the pack. Including what you are suppose to do for the pack. While you are figuring that out we are going to work you through our training to the point that you feel like you can go no further and than we will push you a little more."

"If my fathers enemies do not kill me first. You guys will," he stated. "I know what it means to be an Alpha. They are responsible for the pack. Tending to the problems and getting the pack to grow to its strongest. Everyone is the packs responsiblity. Why do you want me figure this out?"

"Why?" I said. "Could it be how your acting? Your a young adult and soon you will be taking up the reigns in being responsible for the well being of a pack. That will depend on you to protect them from danger and keep them in good health. While you are here you are going to do things that you normally do not do. Why? Well everyone is very busy and do not have time to baby you. We are not going to hold your hand like a child because you are old enough to do the work yourself. So laundry, cleaning your room, cleaning any mess you make is all your chore to do. We will show you once how to do it and than you are on your own. As for food we eat at certain times miss that you make your own food and clean up after words. However be on time when it is time to eat and you have no problem. Clean up is shared by everyone. we take turns cleaning. As for cooking some of us can cook and will cook for the group. Than there is others who will burn everything they atemp but will just do the clean up."

"You mean I will be doing omega jobs," Kyle stated. "No I will not. I am an Alpha's child. Not some worker."

"I have had it with your selfish ways," I said. "You think just because you are an Alpha that you are so specail. Well let fix that. You cook for yourself from now on no one will cook for you. We also told your dad to hold onto all your money for the reason that they can track you if you ever use a card or your bank account. So you can not order no take out. the clothes you have and cash on you is what you have. Your electronics stayed home for they can be tracked. You want to have money you earn it. Want something special you earn the money for it. here you get no special treatment."

"Boss," David came running in. "The Crystal Moon Pack just got attacked and the luna been taken. Also the daughter we have not located and thimk she may have been taken."

"David. I want you to babysit Kyle," I ordered. "Also he is to do all his own work. Cleaning and cooking for himself. I want you to also take him through our beginners training course to acess him. Start at the beginners and increase as he needs it. Make notes on what he needs to betrained on. I want both human and wolf acessments done."

"Yes Alpha I will get it taken care of," he anwsered.

"I will be going to take care of the problem that is being faced," I said as I walked out.

From that point, I went out on the hunt searching for any leads on my own. It was what I found that pissed me off. Some human hunters can be very evil and so can some rouge wolves. But when they team up it can be bad and I found that out real quick. 

I had found the Luna of the Crystral Moon Pack. What got my attention even quicker and had my wolf wanting blood was the daughter of they took. One man was touching her in place no grown man should touch a child. I saw red.

Not giving to hoots to what can happen to me. I shifted and attacked. All I saw was red and blood. By the time I came to both the Luna and her daughter was safe for now. Blood and body parts was every where, as for myself lets just say that it looked like I bathed in blood. Once I was sure the danger was gone, I shifted back to my human form.

"Hello," I said. "I am Alpha Phoenix Zeva Winter of the Reaper Worrior Pack. Kyle is safe and sound also I heard that your pack was attack. Let me take care of you guys and I can return you home."

"My name is May Moon," the Luna said. " this is my daughter Cora Moon. Thank you very much for getting rid of that filthy bastard. He would have raped my daughter and torcher her."

"May how badly are you hurt?" I asked. 

"I do not feel my wolf," She stated. "I feel so lost. They gave me something and it effected my wolf. I do not think I can face my mate right now."

"Okay," I said as I gently touched her and started the healing process. "I know some people who can protect you. They follow me but live in an old castle that they modernized for their needs. I have a man there that is in charge and he also has someone there that can help you heal."

"Thank you," She cried. "I want you to promise to protect Cora. Knowing her father he will blame her for why I did not return. I want you to protect her."

"I will protect her for you," I told her. "You focus on healing yourself so you can return to your family and pack."

"Mom," Cora whispered. "Your not coming home with me?"

"No dear," May anwsered. "I need to heal before I can return. As much as I love everyone I need to find myself again before I face your father."

"Cora," I said. "I need to say something and you need to know that this is my protection oath for you. Also I am doing this so that you can always communicate to me. Since your mom asked this of me only she, the moon goddess and my death can revoke this oath. Do you understand?"

"Yes," Cora said. "I have read it in an old werewolf book that when an oath that is given they become a protector. This oath ties the protecter and the persoon being protected together. You will always know when I am indanger and where I am at all times. If need be I can always call out to you."

"Yes that is correct," I told her. "On my blood I sware in front of the moon goddess and the mother, Luna May Moon, to protect her daughter Cora Moon. With my blood I create the tie to this child for her protection. w"ith my blood I seal the promise to her mother. With both blood and oath I offer my protection to her so she will live in peace. Blood and oath that ties us together I raise it up to the moon goddess to see. I ask that she bless this oath and promise as I protect this child. Unless my death comes before she finds a mate I will stand by her till the end and do my job to the fullest of my ability. Those of my pack will step in when need as we all take care of everyone. I am her sole protector but my pack is my family that choose to share my responsiblity in the end. We choose to protect the weakand create a better future for everyone involved."

As I finish my oath, cutting my had a gave a small cut on coras to tie us together as protector and the protected. Through my pack bonds with both humans and wolves all rised up to the new type of tie we had. Turning to the mother cutting her hand I connected our hands to seal the promise that I swore to her. As I finished the process a necklce apeared in front of Cora with the moon goddess and my packs symbol. 

"The goddess gave her blessing," May responded in shock. "I have never seen this before."

"My pack has accepted the role to protect your daughter," I explained. "I am alpha and guard those who are my responseiblity. My Pack follows my lead feeling the connection being formed as a protector to the young child and all wants to aid me in my job. In my pack I have both humans and wolves who follow me til the end. Together we make up the Reaper Worrior Pack."

"You mean not only did the goddess bless the protection oath," May stated. "But your pack accepted the responsibility that you took on. I have never heard of this happenoing before."

"See I know your pack has been creating problems," I explain to her. "Have you thought what would happen to your daughter if she returns without you? I have and right now your mate thinks your dead because he can not feel you. There is a chance that he may blame your daughter and the pack may attack. I have to give them a reason to double think that if not it can be bad. Yes your daughter needs to go back to her father but I must take precautian for her prtection. Understand this the castle I send you is also part of my pack but only those who wish not to show themselves to the world stay there. You need to heal and they will help but I must also think of the whole situation not parts of it. My pack is known as Reaper for a reason. That reason lays with the fact that death comes to all that go against us. We also have a code we live by that is what worriors have. Through all the trials I have face I end up creating the Reaper Worrior Pack and those who follow chose me to be their leader."

"I understand and thank you for taking care of my daughter," may said.

"Ah your way to the castle has arrived," I stated as a man came walking from the woods.

"Alpha," he said. "I felt you need me. So I came to you."

"Thank you Conor," I responded. "I need you to take May her to our healers so she can heal. Those who kidnapped her gave her something and she has not felt her wolf for a while. We are giving her sancuary so she can heal before returning to her family and pack. I leave her in your care and make sure she is guarded at all times. I do not want problems to rise out of this."

"Of course Alpha," Conor anwsered. "I will teleport her back to the castle and gaurd her myself. My sister Amice will work on healing her and guard her when I cannot. Everything will be fine."

"Good," I said. "Go and get her settled in. I have done some minor healing on her and see a long road in recovery for her. As for her wolf healing that will be up the her and the moon goddess to make it through this."

"Cora," May called. " I am sorry I cannot come with you my dear brave daughter. Please be strong through everything. I look foward to see you when i have recovered. Remember no matter what you will always be my daughter and I will be back as soon as I can. I love you with all my heart."

"Yes mom," She said crying. "I will do my best. Just get healed so that I can see you again."

Conor walked up and touched her shoulder. After a nod my way he vanished with May to the castle that held at most ten people. She will be in the best care ever.

"So do you want to see your brother or father first?" I asked. 

"May as well face dad first," cora responded. "I am scared though."

"Oh don't be I will be right by you," I told her. "He cannot deny a protector to whom is being protected. also you have a whole pack that will protect you as well."

"The pack is just wolves that wants to better themselves," Cora said. "They a bunch of selfish wolves. All the pups learn real quick who to stay near and who is dangerous to them."

"So the young pups fear the older wolves," I said. "It seems that your pack has no potential. For one thing a pack is suppose to take care of one another. Not try to see who is the better. This destories a pack not make a strong pack. This means there is no trust at all."

"Yes," Cora said. "I am always around other pups. I am only 4. How old are you?"

"I am 11 years old," I told her. "my father and uncle wants to settle in a place for my last two years of high school. So I look foward for that experience. I smell your pack they are near."

All of a sudden wolves surrounded me and growling. As I stare at the Alpha in the eyes not breaking eye contact. Cora on the other hand got closer to me with every growl. The other Alpha was the first to break eye contact and he shifted back to human form which turned out to be bare as the day he was born.

"Give me my daughter," he snarled. "Rouge you are in deep trouble."

"Oh your son follows right in his fathers steps," I said. "How can I not be surprised at this response? Especially when i saved both your daughter and Luna from who took them. Gave your luna a safe haven to heal and am now your duaghters protector. You tread on thin ice with that threat. In fact you also threaten another Alpha at the same time. Who in fact has a pack of full trained wolves and humans that would come to my aid at any time. So knowing this know, what are you going to do?"

"My mate and luna died," He growled out. "I felt her die. As for my son he is being protected my a sucerity business while I try to get my enemies under control. My daughter caused all these problems and must take the punishment."

"No," I Snarled out as my authority and power seeped out of me. "What you need to do is shut up and listen well. You hired my family business, which in a turn around way puts your son under my packs protection. Your Luna is still alive but need a lot of healing. As for your daughter, If any one harms her they will face me. I am Alpha Phoenix Zeva WInter of the Reaper Worrior Pack and I take all my jobs serious. From the moment that I swore my protection oath for your daughter, everything involving her well being becomes my concern. Since it was an alpha that swore it, my pack even are acepting it as well. Which in turn means that when one of my members are near here they will come to check on her. Including those that are tending your Luna."

"Impossible," he stated. "No female wolf can do what you claimed to do. She-wolves are not to fight. They are to weak."

"Do you really want to test that out," I growled out. "Because I would gladly love to have another blood bath. But instead of the hunters and rouges it will be your blood."

"No thank you," he replied quickly. "i will make sure my daughter is not harm in any way. I do not need you to tear apart any of my wolves either."

"I am glad we reached an understanding," I calmly said. "your son is also learning a few values while he is with us. Also we are testing him on his fighting skills."

"Phoenix," Cora softly talked. "I not sure i want to go with my father."

"Remember my oath to you?" i asked her. "This necklce her is proof that the moon goddess her self blessed my oath to protect you. You see the moon behind my pack symbol. this means that you can call on my whole pack at any time. you need us you call and we will come running to your side. We have a special connection that no one can break. Not even your father would want to face a protector who will be willing to kill. Our job is to make sure you are safe at all times if you are not we will come running."

"You are kidding me," her father said. "A protector has no connection to who they are protecting. Really quite with the false information."

"Is that what you think?" I questioned him. "You think you know everything about the protectors. Well I have a news flash for you and you are going to really hate this. I will know if she has been hurt in any way and come to hunt you down. You can believe anything you want but I know the truth and facts."

"Cora it is time to go," Her father said. "Now!"

End of flash back

As we reached the boarder, I see a guard from the pack. I shifted smoothly in to my human form with clothes on. 

"Guard tell your Alpha that he has a meeting coming and it is happening soon," I growled. "Inform him it is Alpha Phoenix Zeva Winter of the Reaper Worrior Pack."

With that being said I continued on in my human form jogging through the forest toward their pack house.
