During this moment within the Shimura Clan compound, a shout erupted from the Shimura Clan head, "You bastard, die!"

Uchiha Karan and Hiruzen turned their attention to the Shimura Clan Head. A short sword had been thrust into Nakamura's back.

"You bastard!" exclaimed Uchiha Karan as he vanished and reappeared in front of the Shimura Clan Head.

"How dare you attack one of us?" Uchiha Karan's voice dripped with coldness.

"I know you plan to kill us. Listen, all members of my clan, do not hesitate to attack these Uchihas. They are evil, and if we don't eliminate them, they'll kill us," declared the Shimura Clan head.

"What on earth is he talking about?" Hiruzen said, his face marked with confusion.

In that very moment, the head of the Shimura Clan head was severed from his body—an obvious betrayal to Konoha.

"Now, everyone, listen carefully to my orders. Capture them. If they resist, subdue them. And if they dare to attack, that means they are traitors—kill them on the spot," commanded Uchiha Karan.

Every Uchiha activated their Sharingan, becoming vigilant and initiating the capture of the Shimura Clan members. However, at that precise moment, another ninja attacked one of the Uchiha clan members. The result was instant death for the Shimura Clan ninja.

"Are you alright, Nakamura?" Uchiha Karan inquired while employing healing jutsu on Nakamura.

"Have you explained everything to the Uchiha Clan members?" Uchiha Karan asked, but this was not the conversation occurring in their immediate surroundings. It was part of a genjutsu shared with Nakamura.

"Yes, Master Karan, I have thoroughly explained the plan to them. All Uchiha clan ninjas will employ a simple genjutsu on every Shimura Clan ninja they encounter. The genjutsu will depict the Uchiha ninjas preparing to attack the Shimura clan members. As a defensive response, when the Shimura Clan ninjas attack, the Uchiha Clan ninjas will eliminate them. To outsiders, it will appear as if the Shimura Clan ninjas are initiating the attacks and we are merely responding to your orders," Nakamura explained.

"Hmm, very good," Uchiha Karan nodded. He dispelled the genjutsu. By now, Nakamura had healed sufficiently to rejoin the fight.

Meanwhile, outside the barrier encompassing the Shimura Clan's territory, Danzo finally arrived with his ROOT ninjas.

Upon witnessing his clan members being slain, his anger surged. He glared at Hiruzen and demanded, "What are you doing, Hiruzen? Watching my clansmen die like this?"

"What am I doing? Don't you see what your clansmen are doing? They are attacking Uchiha Clan ninjas first, and the Uchiha clan ninjas are defending themselves," Hiruzen retorted.

"And so what? You should have taken control of the situation; you're the Hokage," Danzo shouted, his frustration evident.

"This falls under the jurisdiction of the Uchiha Clan police force. I cannot interfere, at least until they take actions that harm the village," Hiruzen explained.

"If this were your clan, you would have broken the barrier by now and asserted complete control," Danzo sneered.

Then, he shifted his attention to the ROOT ninjas and commanded, "Break this barrier or at the very least create an opening for us to pass through."

"Yes, Danzo-sama," the ROOT ninjas replied in unison. Immediately, they began devising a plan. According to their strategy, they would employ various water ninjutsu to breach the barrier.

Right at that moment, an announcement was made, "Earth Release: Multi-Mud Wall." Numerous earthen walls emerged around the Shimura Clan compound, enclosing it like a fortress. Atop one of the walls stood Uchiha Karan.

"Danzo, do you intend to meddle in the Konoha Police Force's investigation?" Uchiha Karan inquired, his expression icy.

"Upon what grounds are you attempting to apprehend all the Shimura clan members? If you have identified specific Sunagakure ninjas, then arrest those individuals. Why target everyone?" Shimura voiced his concern.

"That's precisely my aim here. I only wish to detain those in whom we've identified connections to the Sunagakure ninjas. We established this barrier to confine the Shimura clan members temporarily. After they undergo thorough investigation, we will allow them to depart," Uchiha Karan explained.

"Why then are you attacking and killing the members of the Shimura Clan?" Danzo inquired.

"What do you propose we do if they're attacking our ninjas?" responded Uchiha Karan.

"I don't want to hear anything else. I also want to enter the Shimura Clan compound," declared Danzo.

"Are you giving me orders, Danzo?" Uchiha Karan's grip tightened around Danzo's neck. Strangely, Uchiha Karan was holding Danzo's neck despite there was meters of distance between them not even a second ago.

Uchiha Karan teleported Danzo into his grasp and seized his neck.

"Remember, Danzo, I'm not apprehending you. I'm already doing you a significant favor, as there are many things that the Shimura Clan would find impossible to achieve. So, keep your mouth shut and remain standing. Otherwise, I won't hesitate to capture you," Karan warned before tossing Danzo to the ground and disappearing.

Danzo's entire face was drenched in sweat, and he was breathing heavily. His face betrayed an unimaginable fear.

"Didn't I already mention that this isn't a situation where we can intervene? Don't worry, he won't cross the line," Hiruzen assured while standing before Danzo.

Hiruzen was confident that Uchiha Karan would not resort to extreme actions, but this time his assumption was tragically incorrect.
