Chapter 1Earth

She was beautiful. Dark brown hair falling around her tilted face as she carefully turned the pages of a well worn book. She'd caught my eye the moment I'd entered the room, her presence was overwhelming. In particular, nothing about her would stand out in a crowd, she seemed ordinary. Legs crossed casually and music in her ears. It was almost like a sudden tug in her direction, and I couldn't help but look her way. She was captivating.

Her head had lifted away from her book slowly, a look of confusion crossing her face for a moment, before she turned her gaze, to me. Her eyes met mine, and I looked down at my own book quickly in a fit of embarrassment. She'd caught me staring. Her gaze burned through my soul, as if she were trying to set me ablaze. I glanced up for a moment, and her eyes were still there. She was expressionless, and still, as if she hadn't quite processed her own gaze yet. Then she was moving.

She glided like water to my direction, sliding next to me and resting her face in her hand. A wave of familiarity washed over me, the scent of fruit, and a feeling of nostalgia.

"Hi." Her voice was casual, as if I weren't just caught staring at her.

"Hey." She examined my face, seemingly searching for something. Silence held for a moment. "Sorry," I cleared my throat. "I thought you were someone I knew, my mistake."

"You do know me." Her answer held no hesitations. "My name is Ever," She smiled slightly, seemingly amused at my confusion. "But you wouldn't know me by that name. What do you go by."

"Adam." She smiled again, repeating the name slowly.

"Adam. Simple this time around, thank your parents for me." She lifted herself from the table in a quick fluid motion. "Follow me, I'll show you where we've met before." She began walking towards the exit, not checking to see if I was even following. For a moment I hesitated, wondering if it was a good idea to, however before I could think it over, I was already moving behind her.

She led me down the halls and out the front doors, twisting around the building towards the back. There she stopped, on a grassy patch shaded by the surrounding buildings. She sat cross-legged, motioning for me to join her. As I sat, she smiled again.

"I don't think I've ever been back here." I looked over her again. "Are you sure we've met before?"

"Oh yes, many times." She held her hands out with her palms facing the sky. "Put your hands on mine. I'm certain you'll remember after that." Hesitantly, I did as she asked, putting my hands on hers.

A cool sensation washed over me, sending tingles down my spine. Ever closed her eyes, exhaling and relaxing her shoulders. Then, the world started to go dark.

Omega's Rebirth

What was worse than death itself? Well it was dying knowing that no one would miss you, knowing that your death was a favour to everyone you ever knew. This was exactly how I felt the day I died. I was the love child of the Eclipse Alpha King, in a time where the mate bond was considered sacred, a child born out of wedlock was nothing short of sacrilegious... 'It was his fault, he loved someone other than his mate...' 'It was his fault, he had carnal knowledge of a human woman.' 'It was all his fault, my only crime was being born out of his lust.' But why was that Alpha King father of mine perfectly safe, while I was hated, scorned and blamed for everything instead? Why did I have to be my father's bargaining chip, used to achieve his goals? Why could I not get a rejection like everyone else but was instead murdered by my own mate? Why was I killed before I even had a chance to live? I had a thousand questions and yet there was no one to answer and this was exactly how I died... So why then did my eyes flutter open to that day, a month before my death? Was it because of my little secret? A secret I will tell no one else but you... From the title of my tale, you must think I am an omega wolf... No, you got it wrong...
