Titanomachia: Seed of Yggdrasil

An old man sat on a bench under an old tree. The warmth of the Sun was calming and the light breeze made him drowsy. The light shimmered through the leaves of the trees and cast nearly hypnotic patterns of green the area.

The man hat pointed ears, a wrinkled face, a crooked beak-like nose and very white skin. His eyes glistened of intelligence and wisdom, gained over centuries or even millennia. In his hand was a long walking cane that may have looked like any other normal Cane, but was in fact a Focus for Magic.

He got up from the bench with a little plant with two leaves in his hands. He walked over to his horse that he had tied to a tree. He put the plant cautiously in a saddlebag, to prevent it from getting crushed. He looked back to the old tree and sighed with a sad look on his face.

'Goodbye old friend' he thought before hopping on the horses back, riding south.

If he had looked back once he would have seen the tree shivering, as if the tree wanted to say goodbye on his own.

At the same time in other places strange and mysterious things happened. Events that on the surface may not seem related but would turn out to all be part of one story.

(Seed P.O.V)

It was cold.

very cold

I didn't know or understand why but it didn't want to feel the cold.

Only the bottom part of my body was warm so I tried drilling more of my body into the ground.

It didn't work and i did not know what else to try and I just went to sleep.

'Sleep ? what does sleep mean? I don't understand !'

I was very confused over my thoughts.

' I am thinking ? I am thinking ! But why am I thinking, why does it feel like I never thought before, this feels so weird. Wait! I am "feeling" another word that I don't know. It seems to describe the Status of either awareness with senses or emotions. What are emotions ? what are senses ? I know that my feeling of discomfort because of cold is a sense, the sense of touch, but what are the other senses, are there even other ways of sensing something ? I can't really explain what emotions are but it seems like I... I am experiencing them. I can feel it ! my emotions ! the curiosity for new things the joy of adventuring my own mind, oh what bliss. '

But what do I do now ?

'THIS IS SOOO BORING! I have achieved consciousness but still can't do nothing, wh...

What is that ?

There is something floating in my mind. this is so strange. seems there is something written on it.

Suddenly my Mind hurt and an Influx of Sounds overwhelmed me. I heard Birds singing, people talking and everything around me. I could hear flowing Water as well as rustling noises from the wind that blew through trees and bushes. I could hear the tremor's in the earth created by hundreds of people around me. For a fraction of a second I could even hear the people heartbeats and their breathing, I could hear animals In the Forest walking around, I could hear the buzzing noises crated by bees and other insects.

My mind was completely drowned in the amounts of information, so it. took my a second to awake out of my shocked state.

After some time I was fine and did what I was tasked with.

'STATUS' I thought and suddenly another strange accumulation of words floated in my mind.

'Wow thats a lot of stuff, but it's still neat. My only question is why am I seen as a Monster I am obviously a cute little green sapling.'

A long list with abilities appeared in my mind. Some were reasonably prized while some were just completely out of my league. There were only some that worked for me that were basically plant based. In the End I chose the following:

1 Point: |Iron bark| you can create bark as hard as metal around plants that are attached to you. Resistance, durability and thickness as well as mana costs change with every level up.

2 Points: |Augment|: Decrease or Increase, Size, shape function and output of a certain organ/limb/body part by 10% permanent. Mana cost decrease with every level up.

1 Point: |Vine creation|: you can create Vines from your body with; 10cm length x 3cm width x ability level. Durability and functions get enhanced with every level up.

1 Point: |Bullet Thorns|: you can create thorns all over your body and shoot them. Every shot decreases HP. Damage, durability and flying speed increase with every level up.

|Iron bark|, |Bullet Thorns| and |Vine Creation| would increase my defense and fighting capabilities. |Augment| would be just very useful as the effect increases over time if used repeatedly.

In the end I put 4 points into intelligence 4 into Wisdom and 2 into Strength. I now have 20 MP and my MP/regen is now 5/hour. With 20 MP i can now cast most of the spells I bought except for Augment, that costs 50MP per use.

My HP/regen increased by 2 as well, which confirmed a Theory I had before.

Intelligence increases my mana capacity, wisdom the mana regeneration, Vitality my Health and Strength my health regeneration. It is possible that Agility and Endurance would give me something else but I don't know what exactly. Charisma seems to increase my friendliness with others but that will need more tests.
