6) God Of Weapons

"Ugh!"

One of the swords of the werewolf broke past Gi Wan's defense and sliced his right chest. Thankfully, the wound wasn't too deep but for some reason the bleeding won't stop.

'This guy's strenght far surpasses mine, he has more strength stat than the orc that I faced before, and his speed also far surpasses me.'

Gi Wan made a spear over his staff and distanced himself from the werewolf. Then the werewolf suddenly disappeared.

"What?"

He then felt as if all the mana around him was warning him of danger. He quickly used his authority over mana and made it harder for the werewolf to use mana, still Gi Wan wasn't foolish enough to trust only his authority, he still had his guard up. Although the mana stopped warning him it started to warn again in a few seconds. Those few seconds were the time his authority over mana could buy. Then at one instance he felt the mana gathering at a place. He could feel the mana present inside the werewolf and detect It's location.

CLANG!

The werewolf tried to do the same attack again, however Gi Wan swung his staff horizontally and deflected both the swords at once.

'He has higher stats than me in every aspect, I'm sure of that however...'

The werewolf kept on attacking Gi Wan but he deflected, dodge and parried all of them.

'However he uses dual swords, so he can't attack me unless I am close to him. All I have to do is keep distance from him until he is tired.'

'I'm confident in my stamina afterall.'

"HAAH! You think you can keep your distance forever? And even if you do so, I have higher vitality than you so I will win in a battle of attrition too."

The duel continued like that for 5 hours. The werewolf started to look like it's getting slowly tired, but Gi Wan still seemed to be not breaking a sweat.

'This bastard.'

The werewolf realized that Gi Wan had some trick to increase his stamina.

"Haah, you think you can just win like this? Although it seems you aren't just a nobody, I am still way stronger than you. I've been trying to kill you with just basic attacks but I'm gonna get serious now."

Gi Wan parried the next attack and distance himself from the werewolf.

"Thuder God's dual blade arts. Third style."

Gi Wan felt like it was going to be a life threatening attack and made sure that he was in a perfect position to defend against it.

"Beheading Slash!"

The werewolf kept his arms, holding swords, on the opposite shoulders and dashed towards Gi Wan. After being in a certain distance he swung both of his swords in the opposite sides making a scissors like form from his blades. It was as if he was trying to cut Gi Wan's head with a pair of scissors.

TANG!

Gi Wan used his staff to hit the pivot point of the scissors and broke the form.

'What???'

The werewolf opened his eyes so wide that they became twice the size of how they were in general.

'He nullified it? I mean I'm severely lacking from doing the exact technique but no matter how you see it, it shouldn't be possible for someone like him to grasp the weakness of the form in just a moment and nullify it. It's master's technique after all.'

He couldn't believe what he saw. This doubt of his made him absent minded for a second and Gi Wan didn't miss that. He quickly smacked the back of the werewolf's head with all his might. Probably due to how tired the werewolf was, it fainted right there.

"Haah, it was quite a hard fight. Hmm, is he the selected helper this time?"

Helper. A being from another race and another planet solely sent to other plants to help them survive during the qualification quest. Although he was said that they came to help them, they are only responsible for letting everyone know of the new world they are entering into.

'But this guy went as far as to attack someone. Guess he is one of the 5 irregulars.'

The 5 irregulars. The diety of time, 'Chronos' predicted that there would be 5 irregulars in this planet, and irregulars are the ones who possess extraordinary strength incomparable to normal people and couldn't be tracked down using simple means. Basically they are the type of people who'd become the main characters if the world was an anime.

'It's a waste to kill an irregular. He is even a helper, so he would be really useful if he becomes my comrade.'

'Ah that's right, I turned off real time message updates to concentrate on the fight.'
