Surfacing feelings

Nathan made Larissa lie on the couch when he asked someone to get him some water. He didn't know what happened to her all of a sudden. She was failing to breathe and when he suggested calling for a doctor

She said she was okay “here, drink more water,” Nathan coaxed and handed her a glass of water

“T-thanks Nate… I'm… I'm so sorry to bother you, “Larissa stammered as she tried pushing herself up, but ended up falling back, Nathan caught her and helped her to sit up. The entire time she couldn't help but lean against Nathan

“Mrs. Harrison, let me call your husband… you don't look well,” Nathan said and moved away from her when she grabbed his arm and stopped him

“Don't bother Nate… it's pointless,” the woman whispered, and sat upright. Nathan didn't bother. However, he was concerned about her health

“Is everything okay?” Nathan asked hesitantly, he didn't understand her at all. Nathan knew she was Laura's friend, it was strange how she was treating him. Especially her behavior was rather odd

“He doesn't care Nate…even if I call him now…he won't mind,” Larissa broke into tears, Nathan's eyes narrowed questionably. He knew the affair she had with Carl despite being married to Bernardo.

“Not every man is like you Nate, Laura is so lucky…tell me, do you love her?” Larissa asked in between sobs and wiped her tears with a pocket cloth Nathan gave her. Nathan had no answer to that, but he had a few words for the lady

“Why did you get married to him… Mrs Harrison, you should cherish what you have…” Nathan said, sincerely, he had no idea why she was talking to him about private things. Especially when Bernardo was involved

“You won't understand Nathan, anyway let's leave it,” she muttered shaking her head, Nathan didn't ask further

“I'm sorry, but you should see a doctor, so you know nothing is wrong, and we'll avoid such incidents,”

“Sure, can I ask you a favor… I asked my driver to go, I can't take a taxi…can you drive me home if you don't mind,” Larissa asked while sipping on her water? Nathan agreed, he didn't mind because if he refused and Laura heard about it. She would say all sorts of things to him

“Thank you, Nate, you are truly a gentleman,” Larissa smiled when Nathan helped her up, his arm snaking around her back when he led her out of the office. He didn't reach far when he asked Robert to drive her home

“I hope it's no trouble,” Nathan said once Robert agreed. Larissa didn't say a word, but felt bad when he left her. She preferred Nathan driving her home than Laura's assistant

“You know madam, Nathan is a good man, lady Laura has good0 eyes,” Robert said to Larissa once he made sure she settled in the back seat of his car. Larissa didn't even bother answering him. She was angry because Nathan didn't keep his word

“And why are you saying that, Robert…” Larissa finally said when Robert didn't stop talking. It was annoying

“What I mean is Lady Laura and Nathan like each other. You can see how Nate looks at her and treats her… Don't you think?” Robert said mischievously and glanced back, Larissa had an awkward expression on as she averted her eyes from him

“I don't think so, Laura isn't easily pleased…she cares more about her reputation … their relationship will end soon,” she didn't think Laura had fallen in love with Nathan. Even so, she didn't think their relationship would last. Nathan was young and good-looking. He still had fresh blood, Laura was getting old, and she was certain Nathan would leave her for a young woman. After that, Robert didn't say a word. But she kept something in mind. Nathan had to be careful, it seemed his personality attracted women, and this time things were complicated. He just hoped it wasn't what he was thinking.

“If not for your brother, you'd be locked up…how dare you threaten me,” Carl made a low yell as he rose from the chair and glared at Camila? She came to the police station and caused a huge scene. He had to drag her to his office and locked the door

“Oh really, isn't that what you did…slept with a married woman, if I leave from here… I'm going straight to jacket and spill everything,” Camila countered with a sinister smirk. The happiness she felt exposing Carl and making him lose his Job was immense

“Stop exaggerating because that was a one-time thing… if you say anything… I'll make sure to convince Nathan, so he can kick you out,” he hated Camila more than anything, she was a spoiled brat. He didn't understand how a grown woman like her behaved like a child

“My sister made a mistake marrying that hooligan… aren't you ashamed huh…she's a married woman,” Camila lashed out she wasn't pure but when she found out about his secret affairs. She was nauseated

“I'm sure it was your plan with Nathan… she trapped my sister, and you tried trapping Larissa,” she added disdainfully when Carl grabbed her arm and shoved her down the table so fast that Camila was startled

“Let's find out little girl, I'm sure you'll learn your lesson,” Carl said bitterly and smashed his lips on hers and kissed her deeply while trapping her hands behind. Camila kicked and fought to get away when suddenly the door opened, and Carl moved away, both panting and catching their breaths

“What sort of rubbish is going on here,” Elizabeth said coldly as soon as she walked in and found her daughter with the cop. Camila pushed Carl away and climbed off the desk

“M-mom, it's nothing… I came to ask this man to put some sense into his friend,” Camila stammered awkwardly and moved away from Carl

“Chief of police, I was told you were alone…is this your new plan to trap my daughter… I'm sure you are motivated by your friend to enter our family,” Elizabeth was unhappy as she held her purse close and fixed her sharp eyes on Carl. First, it was Nathan trapping Laura now Nathan's friend was taking advances towards her youngest daughter. Carl had nothing to say, he just wanted to teach her a lesson. He wasn't interested in the likes of Camila.
