Chapter One

Cathy's Point of View

Yes! going home is the best! I want to go home so badly and read a book or play video games!

" Cathy where are you going? the karaoke is this way."

Oh, shoot I forgot.

" Oh, I thought this is the way. " I act as if I didn't know. Abigail stared at me like a police officer caught a lying criminal.

" Stop lying I know you wanted to go home badly and bury yourself with your books. " As always she knows everything through me.

" Is that obvious? " I asked and laughed awkwardly hoping she let me go.

" Yeah, you're like an open-book girl. " She said and raised a brow. " But don't let your hopes up girl you promised to hang out with us so I won't let you break a promise. " She added and yeah, my hopes are broken.

I followed my friend in the karaoke, it's not like I dislike hanging out with them but the package I've been waiting for will arrive today it's the second volume of the novel I read 3 years ago. They say the author has some health issues that's why she temporarily stopped writing and takes good care of his health. The story is so amazing that it got really popular and the first volume of the book is sold out. Luckily I got my hands on it.

" Stop slowing us down Cathy hurry up! " Abby shouted from afar.

" Yeah, coming! " This crazy girl, she is the one who walks with big steps like a giant.

And suddenly I was knocked to the ground by a guy. My body hurt so much, where did this guy come from?

Is he planning to end his life by jumping out of that building? But if he did I might be dead with him everyone seems to haven't noticed what just happened, Am I dreaming?

I slowly get up and leave the unconscious man on the ground. But my conscience is driving me crazy and I don't have a choice but to go back and assist him to go to the nearest hospital to check him up if he has broken something on his body.

[ At the Hospital ]

Are you the family of this guy? the doctor asked me and I immediately denied it. " Don't worry about him he just needs to rest he seems so exhausted. "

I sigh in relief. Hah. Now my conscience is at peace. The doctor asked me for more information but I got nothing to say.

He seems annoyed and just left me there beside the mysterious guy.

I look at him like a cosplayer. His costume is like that of a prince in a novel. I look for his identification card but I find nothing the only thing that's with him is his sword.

I tried to take it away from him but he won't let go of it. Dam this guy, thankfully you're handsome.

For the last attempt, I pulled harder, and instead of taking it off from him, I woke him up and he jumped off the bed and pulled his sword pointing it at my neck.

" Identify yourself! " He demanded. I'm internally shouting, is this a real sword? I can feel its sharpness on top of my skin.

The nurses also panicked when they saw my neck bleed and call security. Is this how I die?

After a while, he eventually put down his sword and collapsed on the floor once again.

" Are you okay ma'am? " the guards asked me when they arrived and took him to his bed.

The people around even talk about him being a crazy man and that he needs to be taken to a psychiatrist. Well, I kinda agree with what the nurse said. Too bad, a handsome face is such a waste.

While I am at school I keep on thinking about him, that's when the class is over I'd go and visit him at the hospital. He always stares at me as if I'm not that welcome. And it's been 3 days since that incident happened and now he is ready to go home.

" Do you have somewhere else to go? " Whatever I do he won't talk to me and he just keeps on staring.

I started to pack things for him instead. I let him borrow my brother's clothes since he wouldn't be them for a while because he entered the Military Academy.

These past few days no one visited him so I figured out he lives alone. I plan to let him stay with us for a while, at first, when I opened up this situation with mom she nearly kicked me out of the house but dad persuaded her that this guy is pitiful with no one around him taking care of him.

Do you want to come with me?" His stares like knives stabbed through me. But I kept on smiling and gave him my hand so he could hold it. I blushed with the thought but I don't want him to get lost, do I?

He stared at my hand, he hesitated for a while but he grabbed it. My heart thumps wildly and I can't hear our footsteps anymore. We are just quite on our way to our house. only a thumping heart could be heard.

[ Next Day ]

I was worried mom would make his life miserable at home but from what I can see he was even loved more than the daughter. which is me. Now I kind of regret taking responsibility for him and letting him stay at our house. "Mom I'm going to school!" See? She is busy peeling fruit for him. They are watching a drama title,d Blood, Tears and Regrets. Look at them and smile, he is so focused on the television not spoken with us yet but I was hoping Soon he would open up to us and tell us what happened to him.
