Zyanya Bennett was born to Qetsiyah and Odin in a very small village which would later become know as Mystic Falls. Zyanya has many half siblings, and she loved them all equally and over the years she helped train many with their magic. Growing up Qetsiyah wasn't always around, so it was up to Zyanya to take care of her siblings, she fed them, bathed them and even put them to bed every night, but that didn't bother Zyanya. However when her mother was around Zyanya loved to help her and practice magic with her. Growing up, Qetsiyah always spoke highly of her father, someone she had only met a few times. Qetsiyah always made sure she knew who she was and Zyanya couldn't be more excited, to dream of being a princess was fun but to be a real was amazing. However as Zyanya grew, her powers grew as well. One day while out in a field with one of her sisters. she was practicing a spell she wasn't supposed to do without her mother and things got out of hand. She lost control and sadly killed her sister, this caused Zyanya's magic to go haywire, thus setting the field aflame. Odin was told immediately, he then spent half the day getting Zyanya to calm down, and then spent the other half locking away some of Zyanya's abilities. You see Zyanya had limitless potential, and that made her very dangerous. Zyanya had more power than anyone could ever imagine, Odin and Qetsiyah think this is because she comes from two very powerful bloodlines but nobody knows for sure.

~Teenage Years~

When Zyanya was in her teenage years she had become a very powerful traveler, some would say she was even more powerful than her mother, and because of this power she attracted a lot of intention, some good and some bad. Zyanya had a lot of admires but only 1 caught her eye, he was another powerful traveler by the name of Silas. Silas was a few years older than her, so they snuck around and courted in secret. However when Qetsiyah found out she was furious, but not for the reasons you think, she wasn't mad that Zyanya was with an older man, no. Qetsiyah was mad because even though Silas was 15 years younger than her, she wanted him for herself.

(Qetsiyah is 38 in this, she had Zyanya when she was only 20)

So Qetsiyah forbid them from seeing each other and then did a spell, making Silas fall in love with her. Nobody knew of what she did and Zyanya would only come to find out on her mother's death bed.

~Immortality~

After many years of dealing with her mother, once she had finally turned 20, Zyanya finally had enough. Why? Because she had received the news that her mother and Silas would soon be wed. To say she was upset was an understatement, but she pushed through because this was for her mother and she loved her mother. So when the time came, the wedding went off without any problems but that can't be said for the after party. On her way home, Zyanya was taken and knocked unconscious, when she awoke she saw both her mother and Silas. They explained to her that she was now immortal just like Silas. Qetsiyah's reasoning was that once she created a potion for herself, that the Three of them could take over their coven and rule the other covens. Her mother wanted power and was willing to turn anyone who wanted it, however if you weren't willing to join, you paid the price and were killed. Knowing she would be killed for disagreeing with her mother, Zyanya fled and only ever returned to visit her siblings. However Zyanya only fully returned when she had learned of her mother dying. You see after Zyanya left Qetsiyah's spell on Silas slowly went away until it was completely gone. Silas furious destroyed Qetsiyah's spell and made sure she never could become immortal, which angered Qetsiyah, so she made a counter spell for immortality, known as the cure. She then locked it and Silas away, hoping one day he would take it and they would be reunited, but he never did. Qetsiyah then died with her kids by her side and with her daughters forgiveness.
