"So did you find a partner?" Sam asked with fake enthusiasm again, while they walked to their next class together. Halloween party was three days away, and Sam and the others were still to find partners.
"No." Was Agatha's reply, making Sam stop moving as her anger begun to boil in the surface. "What the fuck Agatha do you have no intention to attend the party?"
"Don't you?"
"What?"
"I said," Agatha turned around, glaring at her friends. "Don't you have any intention to attend the party?"
Sam and the other's looked confused. "Well of course we-"
"Then why haven't you found anyone yet? Why is me finding a partner your concern when you haven't even found one yourself?"
Because bitch, if you don't find one and we do, there's a high chance you will steal one of ours. But you don't know that you dumb bitch.
Agatha knew, she just wanted them to admit it.
But of course they wouldn't. So she did it herself.
Stalking towards Sam, she leaned into her ears, whispering slowly. "Or are you scared I will steal him from you?"
Sam looked horrified once Agatha pulled away, while the girl only smiled softly with her head titled to the side.
"Don't worry. I already have someone in mind. And I'm pretty sure none of you will choose him."

“Dodge it… aim…and duck…aim! Dodge! Dod- Hey! You said to dodge!” Soralina exclaimed, falling down straight on her butt while dropping her stick with a thud, another stick aimed at her face as she glared.
Lucian grinned, his hairs matted to his forehead with sweat while his stick remained pointed at Soralina. “I did, as your trainer. Currently I’m your opponent.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Soralina grumbled, taking the hand Lucian had offered and getting up on her feet. “Let’s try again.”
“Nah, I’m done.”
“Why?”
“You suck, and it gets boring when there is no challenge. I need a worthy opponent.”
“Like my sister?”
“Like your sist- wait no! No, no that’s not what I meant. No.”
Soralina chuckled, wiping the sweat from her brow and walking towards the rack full of wooden weapons, while Lucian, her personal bodyguard and trainer followed behind with a guilty expression. “Soralina I-“
“Now now, don’t sweat over it. I know I suck. And I also know how great of an opponent my sister is.” Soralina admitted, turning to Lucian with a smile while the latter stared down at his feet. Soralina groaned, hating how the mood had dropped. “For the love of God Lucian! Don’t kill the mood! I’m in a really great mood today!”
Lucian looked up, raising a questionable eyebrow at the pink haired girl, who helped herself to a bottle of water. “Really? Why?”
“Make a guess.”
“Unicorns are real?”
“What? No! I said to be serious!” Soralina pouted, while Lucian only burst out laughing, earning a smack from the girl. “You are no help.”
“Come on Lina, how am I supposed to know what it is? Just tell me.”
“Never mind.”
“I’m curious.”
Soralina smirked, closing the bottle and staring back at Lucian. “Morris asked me out.”
For the first thirty seconds, Lucian looked confused, before the name begins to register in his head and his eyes grew wide, a dramatic gasp escaping. “Wait Morris? THAT Morris? The one you have been crushing on since first year of Highschool?”
Soralina giggled, tucking her stray stands behind her ear while Lucian’s palm flew to his mouth, getting over excited. “Oh my God, really? That’s great!”
“I know right? I’m so happy! We are going to be partners for the Halloween party!” Soralina admitted, jumping around in sheer excitement and giddiness.
While Lucian smiled on, his gaze never leaving the smile on Soralina’s face as his heart shattered to bits.
He knew he had no chance, especially when she was the daughter of the feared Mafia and he was merely her bodyguard. She would never look at him as more than her trainer and bodyguard.
But Lucian had been partially wrong. True, Soralina had no idea about his romantic feelings towards her, but that didn’t mean she considered him as her trainer and bodyguard and nothing else. No. To Soralina, Lucian was that best friend she could never have inside the manor, inside for sleepovers like every other friends do. He was her comfort in her messed up house, and her ill relationship with her family.
She loved her father despite his oddness, and she loved her sister beyond anything, for she was her twin, and the shared the same features.
She loved her mother too, but more than loving, she missed her. Their mother had passed away from an illness, at least that was what their father had told them. No one allowed them to see her when she died, not even in the hospital or even the funeral. They were merely brought to attend the funeral where all they saw was her casket being dropped on the floor.
Then there was Alexander Russo, the twins elder brother and the heir to the Cross Sword mafia. He was, people said, a spitting image of his father, both in looks and in character. And that was true, only the twins hardly saw that part of him. Because to them he was the father they never could have, the loving elder brother who was the reason they were so spoiled.
Alex did whatever his sister’s asked him to, although the demands from Agatha were quiet the few, for she preferred taking care of her own things. But as of lately, the sisters had barely seen or heard from him, as he was overseas and wasn’t at home for over years for business.
Soralina was still smiling and giggling from ear to ear, while Lucian gazed at her with adoration. When the reality of his situation sunk in, Lucian finally looked away, blinking rapidly before he smacked Soralina on the back of the head.
“Jees, what a lovesick puppy.”
“Hey! What was that for?” Soralina screeched, while Lucian begun to walk away, picking up his stick again. “Come and practise already you fool. We don’t have all day.”
Soralina blinked, confusion written all over her face. “But you said you didn’t want to anymore.”
“And get my head on a spike by your father? No, dear Miss Russo I’m perfectly content with my beautiful head attached to my body. Now let’s try that judo technic you still find difficulty with. I’m sure we will master it soon.”
Soralina chuckled, a smile gracing her beautiful face before she nodded, walking back towards Lucian. “Aye captain!”

He hadn’t called. Morris had said he would call, but he didn’t. Not on the day before the party, or even the day of the party.
Or even before he had to come pick her up to be her ride as promised.
Morris never showed up, and that worried Soralina. She was already dressed, waiting for her ride to come and pick her up but no one had showed up, not even after Agatha had left for the party on her own dressed as a sexy witch.
Soralina was dressed as a fairy, her long pink gown floating all the way down to the floor which matched perfectly with her cotton candy pink hairs. Even her lenses were pinks, and so were her lips. She looked like the epitome of happiness, of cupcakes and rainbows, but at that very moment, she didn’t feel like it at all.
“No news yet?” Came the voice of Lucian as he leaned against the doorframe of the balcony entrance, while Soralina looked down from her position on the balcony. “No. Nothing.”
Lucian sighed, walking forward and patting her on the shoulder, before he walked away, leaving her to stare at her phone.
No sooner had Lucian disappeared, Soralina’s phone begun to ring, and to her surprise, it was Morris.
Finally!
Her heart leaped in her chest, her insides filling with butterflies as Morris handsome voice greeted her from the other end. “Hey Lina.”
“Hey! I have been waiting for your call for days! You didn’t even show up at school! Where are you!?”
Shuffling’s were heard, followed by Morris groaning out loud, which only made Soralina’s excitement disappear, her smile vanishing. “Morris? Morris are you okay? Are you-“
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”
Oh god! What happened!?
“Morris wh-“
“I was supposed to spend the day with you, but I can’t. I’m so ill. So terribly ill, I can’t move.”
Oh god…
“Oh my God Morris what happened? And why must you apologise? It’s not your fault, oh God I’m sorry I didn’t know! I’m so sorry! Are you okay?” Soralina was almost in tears, unable to believe what just happened.
Morris groaned again, sounding more pained. “I’m fine. I just can’t move. My chest hurts. The doc said I will be fine in a few days’ rest. I’m so sorry Lina. I’m sorry.”
“Stop, stop apologising! It’s not your fault. Do you want me to come see you?”
“No! Don’t come here! Why would you? You should be enjoying your night! Go, hang out with friends and-“
“I’m not going.”
“What?”
“I said I’m not going. Not when you aren’t there.”
“Oh Lina, no-“
“Nothing you say is going to change my mind. I’m not going. I won’t come over either if you want. Take rest, and I will see you tomorrow.”
“Thank you Lina. Thank you so much.”
Soralina smiled, but she couldn’t bring herself to say anything back. She wanted to tell him she loved him, but that would sound out of the blue, so she decided against it.
So all she did was hung up, pressing her phone against her chest and breathing out through her mouth, feeling her heart sink.
Looks like I can’t enjoy once again.
Oh well, Happy Halloween.
Meanwhile, Agatha grinned with malice, leaning against the wall as he finally hung up, grinning himself.
“Jesus she didn’t suspect a thing! She really is dumb as she looks!” Morris laughed, closing the distance between him and Agatha, while she laughed with mirth. “You do know we look the same, don’t you?
“I know, only that you are more on the sexy side.” Placing on a shit eating grin, Morris pulled Agatha to him by the waist, and they enjoyed the party like the rest of their friends, as if they hadn’t just broken a girls heart.
Sam was right. Agatha could have any men if she asked for them, even if they were taken. And Morris? He didn’t even protest! He was as easy as riding a bike.
Agatha downed the drink in her hands, frustrated that there was no alcohol in it, because she really wanted to get wasted tonight.
Leaving her cup and moving to the dance floor, Agatha jumped to the beat, swaying her body just the way the men wanted, and dancing to her hearts content.
She didn’t care what just happened. She just wanted to enjoy her life.
Because that was all she cared about. Her own life.
Who cares what others think? I’m my own person.
Oh well, Happy Halloween.
