Ch. 16 four coloured soul

The rest of the time, the line becomes silent again. Miss bai stops talking but still glaring at his back. Ling Xi just ignores it and put it as child tantrums.

One more person and he will be next. He can see that they first put their hand into a crystal like ball, like the one, Cheng Li makes me hold but bigger. After injecting his soul force, Ling Xi nearly turn blind on how bright the basin became, it changes color four times before the four color—brown, green, red and blue appears all divided into four equal parts.

The people waiting for their turn all gasps. Even the masters preceding this event look at him like they are looking at a treasure. Oops! Gone the 'he is supposed to be low key and not attract attention' plan.

"So that mean i pass?" he still inquire to the person on his side.

"Yes. Congratulations. Bring this token with you. Tomorrow come here to the plaza early, we depart before the sun rises." he says, even smiling clearly in a good mode.

He found Cheng Li standing on the sycamore tree, waiting for him.

"I pass."

"I know, I've seen it. Congratulations."

"And you?"

"What do you think?" Cheng Li questions him, again making him feel like an idiot, of course he pass, he even had to suppress his cultivation so there's no reason for him to fail.

"I'm dumb." Ling Xi says before slapping his own forehead.

"I know." come Cheng Li's answer making him again infuriated.

"We should go home now, we departs before sunrise so i want to pack and rest." Ling Xi says, once again changing the topic.

"Can we eat some braised pork?" Cheng Li ask. Clearly asking him to cook some for him and not buying in the restaurant.

"Yes. The pickles should be ready for cooking, we are going to have a feast tonight." Ling Xi says before he starts walking.

They have to terminate their contract for the rent of the house. Pack their belongings and things.

"Ling Xi." Cheng Li calls out when they pass in an alchemy shop.

"En."

"Go buy a cauldron, I'll wait for you outside." before pushing Ling Xi at the door.

"But I already had one." Ling Xi is confused to why he had to buy another one if he had a perfectly good one in his disposal.

"Your cauldron that you are using is a high grade level one. black ore cauldron that you have is ranked number two of all the cauldron in this realm." he explains before directly pushing him inside.

An attendant quickly come to his side before asking.

"Distinguished guests, may I help you?"

"uhm. Can I see the cauldron that you are selling?"

"Sure, this way sir." they go back to the inner side of the store where cauldron on different sizes and colors are on display.

"This one. I like this one, how much is it?" Ling Xi asks, pointing at the violet ore cauldron on the back.

The attendant become surprised, usually the buyer would ask about specifications, materials used and grade of the cauldron before choosing one.

"This is Mid-grade violet ore, the ore came from an erupting volcano. This one is a bit pricier because of the superb craftsmanship and the quality of the stone. One thousand gold piece." the attendant explained before getting the cauldron.

"I'll get it." Ling Xi says before providing the right amount. Inside Ling Xi is crying, he really needs an income, his money are almost used up.

After putting his purchase in his spatial bag, Ling Xi toss a gold coin to the attendant as a form of thank you before going out.

Coming home, Ling Xi decided to cook Braised pork as per Cheng Li requested. Heating and frying the meat is done for a couple of minutes before putting the meat in a pot with the sauces and slow cooking it for an hour. He decided to stir fry some vegetables as well together with some kung pao chicken. Dicing and slicing the ingredients.

"Great god, the food is ready." Ling Xi shouts after an hour of cooking. He even steam some rice while waiting for the braised pork to cook.

"Coming." he can hear a quick footsteps coming from the receiving area where Cheng Li is currently situated tidying their stuff. He is clearly hungry based on how fast he walks.

"I miss your cooking." he commented before sitting and starts eating right away.

"You know you have to clean your hands right?"

"I know." before continuing on picking his food.

Ling Xi decided to just ignore it. And start eating.

"Cheng Li."

"Hm."

"My result about the potential and talent, did you see it?" he questions, is perplexed on why people reacted that way.

"You have a four colored soul, a soul rarely seen, the last person who had a four colored soul is born a thousand years ago."

"He is still alive right?" Cheng Li ask thinking about the jealousy of the heaven.

"Yes, four colored soul is still tolerate, they became a master alchemist in the higher heavenly realms. I don't know if you have good luck or bad luck on getting a four colored soul while capable of poison and alchemy."

"Then, I'm going to die?" Ling Xi asks softly.

"Do you want to die?"

"No."
