Carrying all this stuff while walking through a forest is especially challenging after a nap. I can't sleep for just a few more minutes.
First of all, it won't be dawn when we go to the tree house, and secondly, Rin will kill me if I stay asleep any longer. Complaining serves no purpose; I should instead observe where I am keeping my step and move forward. I can tell that Rin and Browny are both in excellent health, and it appears that they are both more enthusiastic about the tree house.
Since we haven't been back to the tree house in about 4 years, Rin is understandably more enthusiastic about our visit. To be quite honest, I'm not even sure the tree house is still in good enough shape to be used. Since we have already completed 70% of our journey, it is pointless to consider turning back at this point. I can hear Rin shouting at Browny, "Just a few more steps and we'll be eating dinner at the tree house, hurray!" Although I don't think Browny can interpret Rin, it is worth the effort to watch Rin's joyful expression.
"Something bit me, Lahsiv". When Rin abruptly yelled, she instantly pointed to her arm when I inquired where it bit her. I noticed a tiny red dot next to her pinkie finger. I knew it was a scorpion bite the moment I looked at that red dot.
Browny barked at something on the ground, and I yelled at him since all I could think about was what to do with the scorpion bite. Browny was ordered to move away from the scorpion by Rin. I then approached the scorpion, which I assume to be the same one that bit Rin and dropped as Rin shook her hand in pain.
I used some broken wood to hurl the scorpion a few feet because I don't want Browny to get hurt either. Fortunately, Rin's scorpion bite wasn't a life-threatening one; it was only unpleasant. I've been in the forest before, so I brought some first aid supplies and medicinal herbs with me. When I told our village pharmacist about our forest journey, he gave me some Sahasmuria plant leaves because I frequently run errands for him. I'm hoping this may help Rin. This plant leaf is supposed to treat snake bites. I wrapped the pinkie finger in a tiny piece of cloth that had been dipped in the Sahasmuria leaf's curative juice.
"It was much better", Rin informed me. I'm a little bit relieved, but I'm also a little bit frightened. We must hurry to the tree house so we may tend to her medical needs and allow her to rest. After a brief break, we resumed our walk as I carried Rin's bags. After a few more steps, after some time, we came across a big tree that was standing tall and supporting a wooden house on its limbs.
