The Advisor’s Plan to Gain King’s Status

The Advisor kept on thinking that for an hour. The time was constantly decreasing. He had to decide in haste.

Then, one idea inspired him and made him take a final decision.

"Why not get both benefits; time machine's ownership and popularity? The scientists who gained popularity and money in the past also shared their knowledge with the whole world."

He decided that he would show the king that he invented the time machine to get his precious reward. And that he was its inventor, which was why no one could ever understand its functioning. So, he would only use that whenever needed. Even if there was a need for any other scientists to use that, he would go with them.

The king couldn't properly sleep the whole night. He was so excited to hear good news. He believed in the Advisor's smartness and expected something extremely great from his side.

Suddenly, his door was knocked. When he allowed that to be opened, the Advisor moved inside.

"So, what's the good news? Please tell me, so I'll sleep. I awoke the whole night due to the excitement". The king excitedly asked while rapidly getting down from the bed.

The Advisor intentionally overreacted so the king wouldn't doubt his lie.

"My king, you'll not ever regret your awakeness for such a precious thing. I don't even have words to deliver such big news".

"Whatever, the way you want the news to be delivered, do so. But be fast. I can't wait anymore." The king responded.

The Advisor asked the king to move with himself, so he could have the first great impression of the time machine instead of first imagining it and then viewing it.

So, both of them reached the lab.

The time machine was cleaned, its damaged parts had been repaired. It didn't have any internal damages because of the on-the-way incidents. So, its functioning was not affected. However, some outer parts were severely damaged. So, the Advisor successfully turned it into the newly made piece.

Moreover, he spread some material around the time machine that was used inside it. So, the king would believe that the Advisor had made that. That was such an unbelievable invention for Aliens. Their forefathers had died working on time machine manufacturing but failed every time.

Even if the time machine was totally the invention of the Advisor, no one believed him without proof. So, he would have to do much acting to convince people about that.

As the king reached close to the time machine, the Advisor unveiled it (covered by the cloth to uncover instantly when the king would come to give him surprise). On the wall behind the time machine, few attractive words were written.

"Here's the face of my bone-breaking efforts of uncountable hours."

The king was surprised to the extent that he didn't realize what was going on.

"Time machine! What! It's a time machine. I can't believe it's in front of me," The king said while wiping away his tears of happiness.

"So, the voice was due to this. But how was it possible?" He began inquiring.

The Advisor lied to the king that he had been working for many years on that project.

He wanted to keep that secret from being done properly. Because if he exposed that secret, many unrecoverable problems could be caused like opposition from other scientists; the public might say that the investment on the time machine should be better to be done on their expenses, and many others like that.

The king believed everything the Advisor said because of having trust in him. He didn't wanna inquire much due to being so happy.

The king was so excited to move in the past and future. The Advisor benefited from the king's pleasant mood and told him that no one could operate the time machine except himself. The king happily agreed.

So, the news was publicly announced to everyone.

"Dear loving fellows, it's the happiest time of our history after that blessing child's birth. Our talented Advisor, who also worked as a scientist, has invented the time machine for your convenience and luxury. Now, we'll dominate all species of the universe by knowing both the future and past".

All Aliens got extremely happy to know that. The king arranged the party in his palace for the Advisor's owner. The palace was beautifully ornate to feel happiness.

Even though Aliens had become so advanced in science and technology, their traditions remained the same. The party was arranged exactly like old kings were used to.

When all Aliens had come to the party, the king came with the Advisor as a chief guest of the party. The Advisor was seated on a beautiful royal chair specially designed for himself, and the king went towards the stage to say some words for him.

"I'm not much surprised by this invention, not because it's not amazing, rather I always expected something great from my advisor. I always believed that one day he would do something like that".

Then, the king called the Advisor on the stage for the reward. The Advisor was confused that there was nothing in the king's hand then what would he reward. He also feared that if his truth had been exposed and the king was doing a prank on him.
