"By the order of the galactic decree the lower planet that the locals call "Earth" shall be given to the side that will win most of the five remaining matches," declared the alien embassador from the massive hologram that cowered the skies. Frankly if someone told Tyrone that this would be happening in his life just a year ago, he'd be calling that someone promptly weird. Still it was happening, signifying that the weird had become the new normal. A sideways glance towards the other challengers showed that they were taking this a lot better than he was. All of them seemed to be at the height of confidence or at least faking it better than Tyrone, who was shaking to his very core. At this point he didn't even hear about the announcement that they had a week to prepare for the whole thing. Tyrone was more importantly trying to remember the string of events that had led him to this very moment....
