With the introduction of a new vaccine to combat the Corona virus, the whole world finally started going back to normal. The quarantine was scrapped, travel bans were lifted and offices, malls and theatres all over the globe started opening up. Things were looking especially good for Ray until a deadly new strand of COVID-19 forced the world to go into lockdown once again. But little did Ray know that the lockdown would be the least of his worries. The mutated virus has started to transform their hosts into deranged monsters with only one thing on their mind: Human Flesh. Rody heard a groan coming from the direction where Anurag had just gone. He found it confusing at first. He didn't understand why Anurag would have to groan like that. And they had already made sure that there weren't any other Deathless around except the Roach. At least in this part of the supermarket. And yet he was sure he heard something.

Realization kicked in so slowly that he wanted to punch himself. "Tasha, come with me. Hurry." He said and raced off towards the last aisle which had Varun's dead body. Only now, Rody was no longer positive that his body had remained dead.

A confused Tasha blurted out incomprehensible words before eventually following him to the aisle. The light from both phones she held in her hands illuminated the entire lane. Rody found Anurag standing face to face with an undead Varun. Behind him, he heard Tasha gasp in shock. She muttered something under her breath which Rody didn't care enough to listen.
