Aiguo walked side by side with Li Xao. He felt enormous and exalted, but he couldn't understand why Li Xao, second in command of the Qi cultivators and nearly at master's rank in magic and soul tempering, would want anything to do with him. While walking out of the passage, Aiguo caught a glimpse of his face. The outside appears to be a court yard, with beautiful trees and flowers, mostly in white and purple. They were the dominant colors; any other color would have been scarce.
Aiguo could tell Li Xao wasn't feeling well by the sad twitch on his face and the way he walked as if no one was with him.
'He's grieving.'
Aiguo drew back, now behind Li Xao, hoping he would notice, but Li Xao continued walking.
Wierd
Aiguo summoned himself to say something, but he only managed a squeak. Li Xao came to a halt, squinting his eyes low and looking down at Aiguo, who pretended nothing had happened, his expression blank.
“What?“ Li Xao asked him.
