61 Another Scheme

Both October and Lexus spend their days in bliss. The people around them also couldn't help but feel relaxed and happy to see the warmth that was slowly enveloping the mansion. The mansion was not as tense as it usually was and their young master would sometimes flash a gentle smile and it was like looking at a different person. Was this still their young master?

Monday came, October was dropped by Lexus in front of her company. She went to work and acted as if everything was just the same, as if nothing out-of-the-ordinary happened. She still looked calm and charismatic, with an air of full indifference as she strode over the massive lobby littered with employees. The employees were still greeting her like they usually do but their eyes were now filled with doubt and suspicion. Some were even showing glimpses of ridicule.

However, October welcomed their stares and answered them with her cold atmosphere that was slowly putting pressure onto those people. She knew that something as big as that will definitely affect her, and it will not be that favorable. With a 'ding' from the elevator, she arrived on her floor and went straight to her office where the anxious Yun Xixi was waiting for her.

However, Fu Yung, on the other hand, was unsettled. She was pacing back and forth in the living room while her son was playing with his toys.

Damn. Fu Yung cursed and bit her freshly painted nails due to her increasing anxiousness. How did that end up like that? How did she caught sight of that man?

Fu Yung's mind was immediately reminded at that dangerously handsome man that protected October. She was so envious that it was almost making her go mad and want to scratch that b*tch's face.

Why can that sl*t be with that man without even her noticing it while she can only land herself into a widower. If it weren't because he was wealthy and an easy target, will she be able to be the one that was standing beside that cold man?

Longwei looked up only to see that his mother was acting restless. Her eyes were glinting dangerously making him shudder in fear. "M-mother...?"

Hearing her son's call, Fu Yung paused and turned to her son. She saw him with eyes full of fear while looking at her. Did she scared her son? Was her emotions gotten out of hand?

"Mother." Longwei dashed to her mother and jumped into her bosom. Burying his face into her neck, his nose immediately caught her mother's scent, soothing him immensely.

Longwei was still a child, after all. He was still innocent and doesn't know much about the evil in a person's heart, especially that of her mother's.

Fu Yung tenderly and softly patted her son's head with a warm look on her eyes. She really can't help but love her child.

With this, she can't let someone else threaten her son's future. She has to do something with October soon, else she will really ruin and snatch everything from her son, from her. She worked hard on obtaining this kind of wealth. She has to grasp it firmly in her hands.

A cold look quickly surfaced from her quiet and cute face. Her heart and mind were in sync. She has to take that woman down.

"Mother, let's play." Longwei looked up in anticipation at his mother. His eyes were big and dewy, filled with naivety and brightness.

"Sorry, baby. Your mother has something to do. Next time, okay?" Fu Yung looked at her son apologetically.

Immediately, Longwei was sad and climbed down from her mother's embrace. He couldn't help but feel lonely. His father was always busy with work and now, his pretty mother was starting to be distant with him.

"Wei'er is already a big boy now. You understand that mother has something important to do, right?" Fu Yung fondly looked at her son and touched his face. Seeing that her son nodded his head slowly, her face immediately bloomed a dazzling smile and kissed her son's head. "My son really understands me well."

"I have an elder sister, right? Is it okay for me to play her?" Longwei asked. He has an elder sister now so it means that she can be his playmate. He looked at her mother with sparkling eyes and a wide smile.

Fu Yung's eyes flashed a malicious glint. However, it immediately vanished as if it didn't ever happen. She forced a smile on her face as she looked at her son. She felt complicated. She knew that her son was a good child, but she can't let her precious son be acquainted with October. "No."

"Why?"

She looked at her son for a while, trying to find words to tell him. "She....she's busy with her work so she can't visit you."

Longwei felt dejected. He then looked at his mother's leaving figure with his dark eyes as he sat down on the couch, in a room so wide and cold. Even if there were people in the room, he felt nothing for he knew that these people were hired to protect him. At only 5 years old, he was already sensible in various ways that a normal child usually doesn't have.

Fu Yung sat at the back seat while fishing her phone from her bag. She was on her way to her husband's company. She dialed a number swiftly and after the second ring, it got connected.

"What do you want?" A woman's voice sounded from the other end. Her voice was tinged with irritation and apprehension.

Fu Yung smirked. "What? Can't I call my 'friend'?" Her elegant brow raised.

"I don't remember having a friend like you." The woman coldly said. She was enraged at the sudden call of Fu Yung. She gritted her teeth and her eyes turned cold.

"Mm. Right." Fu Yung let out a cold laugh as she mocked the woman. "But you did betray her, right? That friend of yours."

"..."

"What? Don't tell me you forgot?" Fu Yung's sneer deepened. "Do I have to remind you?"

The woman clenched her hands to fists as she shook in anger. "Just leave me alone!"

"Why? Don't you think that we're almost alike?" Fu Yung crossed her legs and leaned her back comfortably. Such a woman...was she trying to act so innocent now after doing those things?

"...what do you want?"

Fu Yung smirked. "Find an opportunity to get your friend introduce you to Lexus."

"Lexus?" The woman was shocked and also bewildered. What does that man have to do with her friend? "Why?"

"Oh? It seems like you don't know." Fu Yung snickered. "That's not good. You should check on it online. I'm sure you'll know what I mean. Well then, that's all I have to say. Don't forget what I told you." With that, Fu Yung ended the call with a cold smile hanging on her red lips.
