Astrid, daughter of Odin and princess of Asgard, has been banished from her kingdom for being too prideful and arrogant. Stripped of her powers and status as a goddess princess, Astrid is forced to wander the mortal world in search of humility and wisdom. Meanwhile, Dante , an energetic and playful twelve-year-old boy with a rebellious streak, stumbles upon Astrid in the forests outside the city of Kingston, Jamaica. At first, Astrid is dismissive of Dante, seeing him as an insignificant mortal who is unworthy of her attention.
