Chapter 10 : Settling in Hell, the City of Azazel

After they left Daglar, John, Lyra, and their new friend continued their journey towards the city of demons known as Hell. It was said to be a dangerous and cursed place, but they had no choice but to go there in search of the next Enchanted Stone

As John and Lira entered the gates of Hell, the city of demons, they were immediately struck by the strange architecture and the unique inhabitants. The buildings were made of black stone, twisted and jagged, with glowing runes etched into their surfaces. The air was thick with the smell of sulfur and smoke from the numerous forges that lined the streets.

As they walked through the city, they noticed the strange creatures that inhabited it. There were demons of all shapes and sizes, from the small impish creatures that scurried about their feet to towering monstrosities that loomed above them. Some of the demons paid them no attention, while others stared at them hungrily, their eyes glowing with malevolence.

John and Lira and marcus had to be careful not to draw too much attention to themselves as they made their way through the city.

They eventually made their way to a seedy tavern, where they met a demon who was willing to help them. His name was Bael ; An old friend of Marcus's , and he was a smuggler who knew the ins and outs of the city. He agreed to help them find the Enchanted Stones they were looking for in exchange for a large sum of gold.

Beal took them to a dingy inn in a remote corner of the city where they could rest and plan their next move. Over dinner, he explained to them that the Enchanted Stone they were looking for was in the possession of a powerful demon named Azazel.

Azazel was notorious for his cruelty and greed, and he was not one to part with his possessions easily. Their only chance of acquiring the stone was to sneak into his heavily guarded fortress and steal it from him.

John and Lira were hesitant but knew they had no other choice. They spent the next few days planning their mission, carefully studying the fortress layout and weaknesses.

Finally, the day of the heist arrived. They snuck past the guards, avoided the traps, and made their way to Azazel's chambers. The demon was sleeping soundly, and the stone was in a strap around his neck .

But just as they were about to grab it, Azazel suddenly woke up, and they found themselves face to face with the powerful demon. What would happen next?

Lira, John, and Marcus stood facing Azazel. Azazel's eyes glinted with an otherworldly fire as he laughed mockingly at the three warriors.

"You really think you can defeat me?" he taunted. "I am a demon of the highest order, and you are mere mortals."

Without hesitation, Lira charged at Azazel, her sword at the ready. John and Marcus followed close behind, their own weapons drawn. Azazel met them head-on, his own blade flashing in the dim light.

The battle was fierce and intense, with each side giving and taking blows. Lira's sword sliced through the air with deadly precision, while Marcus's axe smashed through Azazel's magical shields. John, the archer, picked off demons that attempted to flank them.

Azazel was no pushover, however. He was quick and nimble, dodging and weaving through their attacks with ease. His sword strikes were powerful, and he sent waves of dark energy at them that threatened to knock them off their feet.

For what seemed like hours, the battle raged on. Blood was spilled, and the air was thick with the smell of smoke and sweat. But finally, Lira saw an opening. She charged forward and struck with all her might, and her sword cleaved through Azazel's chest.

Azazel howled in pain and fury as he stumbled back, clutching at the wound. But he was not finished yet. With a final burst of energy, he summoned a powerful spell that sent the three warriors flying across the room.

They landed in a heap, battered and bruised. Azazel stood over them, his eyes glowing with an unholy light. "You may have defeated me this time," he hissed, "but I will return. And next time, I will destroy you all."

With that, he vanished in a cloud of smoke and flames, leaving the three warriors alone in the ruins of the chamber.

Lira, John, and Marcus breathed heavily as they struggled to stand. They had emerged victorious, but at a great cost, and their wounds would take time to heal.
