The Botanist

Yue Li, the son of an average merchant from a small farming village called Bei Nan, lived a very mundane life with no real purpose except of his interest in plants. Having not struggled once in his life, the hardships that most people experience in order to grow were something he was had never known and he only realised how purposeless his life was on his death bed.

Lying on his deathbed, he had lived all his life in Bei Nan and had never needed to or wanted to leave at any point and so lay there in the exact house he grew up in and surrounded by strangers as he took his last breath.
