The past 9: You will be fine
Melody followed Jacob out of her room while Mr. James stayed behind to keep everything in order before following them. He stopped when he heard footsteps outside the door and took careful steps towards it.
He reached for the doorknob but did not open and waited. He could see shadows of two people from under the door and he frowned. His phone vibrated, receiving a text message from the man whom he had talked to before. He quickly opened the message and was shocked when he saw what it contained.
"It was Jacob, do not let him near Melody."
These were the words written out in the message.
There were but a few words written there but it was more than enough to have realized his much danger Melody was in and he now understood why there were people outside the door.
