THE BEGINNING OF THE END

I was reading one of my mother's books, books that tell the lives of heroes who fought against tyrannical kings and gigantic monsters, I read the story of a young man who sailed all the seas in search of treasures and lived many adventures, in the that fought sharks, dragons and even an evil god and all his minions.

I looked up to see the starry sky, let out a sigh, I longed that life, I wanted go to sea and sail, meet beautiful girls, fight side by side with friends to defeat powerful enemies, the voice of a woman got me out of my fantasies, and I heard my mother calling me for dinner.

I got up from the chair, closed the book and left my room, when I got to the dining room I saw the dishes served and a roar came from my stomach.

"You should stop reading stories all time and start practicing your magic, if you want to be strong and get a good woman you must train since you are little boy" my mother as always scolded me for not practicing my magic, I just smiled while was thinking, I have I tried to practice my magic all times but I can't, I think my magic seed is very bad, since I was 5 years old my father taught me how to use magic, but two years practicing they passed quickly and I still can't materialize a drop of magic.

My mother sat in front of me and looked at me with a warm smile, but there was something in her eyes that was not right, i surprised, I noticed what was wrong, the sun was already hidden and my father not coming back for home.Without putting up with the surprise, I asked my mother "Daddy won't be back today"

"No, he must go back," my mother said as she smiled at me, but her gaze still showed traces of concern.

We finished dinner and I went back to my room, I lay on the bed and looked at the ceiling, I sighed again, in the last days I sigh very often, mom says that the soul escaped from my body for i sighed all time, lost in my thoughts Without even realizing it, I fell asleep, not knowing that it would be the last time in a long time that I would sleep so peacefully.

The sound of an explosion woke me up, as I got up to see what happened, my mother ran into my room, her face was one of fear, fear in its purest expression, she still had the clothes she was wearing at dinner, but a great magic staff was in his hand.

She approached me, hugged me and jumped out the window, I still could not process everything that was happening at that moment, another explosion was heard, I directed my gaze to the place where it originated.

I could not believe what I was look, my father was fighting a creature that not even in my worst nightmares could I imagine.

A whiteness that contrasted with the endless darkness of the night, obscene scars that pulsed all over his body, an odor escaping from his mouth that destroyed my nose with each breath and black teeth that showed signs of putrefaction, on his face repulsive there was a wicked smile, it seemed to amuse him my father's efforts to harm him.

It seems that the creature noticed my gaze, because its eyes fixed on mine, completely white eyes, which seemed to absorb all my force, when looking at me, the creature seemed to wake up, I look at my father with anger and with a movement of his hand It hit his body, my father flew like a broken kite until it crashed into some trees that were in the distance, he turned his gaze to the place where my mother and I ran, a mocking smile appeared on his face, when he started to run towards us.

Realizing that, my mother me to run, to get to the port and hide, she asked me to leave her, while smiling, but her tears fell like a waterfall from her eyes.

Listening my mother I began to run with all my force towards the port, I ran and ran without turning while listening to the sounds of a battle, suddenly an evil laugh was heard, one that froze my soul, then accompanying that infernal sound, a woman's piercing scream forced me to turn.

My mother hung in one of that demon hands, her arms were ripped from the shoulders, that image destroyed my will to run, sealed my legs in the place where I was, I could not go back or forward, I could not do anything to help my mother.

While the tears covered my eyes a silver flash went to that damn demon, it was my father who with his last strength tried to save my, when my father noticed that I, i cant moved a step, he scream:

"Run Dan, run, do not let the sacrifice of your parents be in vain, train even most hard, for a you most strong, so you can defend the important people in your heart, run son, dad loves you"

After saying those words my father used all his magic in a self-destruct attack, the sound boomed all over the place, I regained consciousness and started to run once again, with all my force, getting closer and closer to the coast, the minutes seemed like hours and I did not stop running, I did not turn my gaze, I just hoped to get to the port and get away from that nightmare, I wanted to wake up from my dream, I wanted to hug Mom, I wanted to have dinner with Dad, as I wiped the tears from my eyes heards a scream at the distance that seemed to come out of hell itself, I ran harder, my feet started to bleed, I started coughing up blood from exhaustion.

"Stop running damn asshole, you can't escape your destiny" a guttural voice, sounded angry.

It was the same sound, without putting up with the fatigue I fell to the floor and I turned around, there he was and was missing half of the body but he was still alive, an indescribable fear filled my heart, he cried of helplessness, if only I was strong, like the heroes in the books, my parents would not have been killed by this creature.

Seeing that I fell to the ground, he stopped running and was walking closer while he mocking.

"You know your mother was delicious, beautiful women are the best, it's a pity that your father's asshole destroyed his body" he said while his face showed a smile "I think you will also be delicious"

When he finished speaking he was only a few steps away, i watched him helplessly, unable to answer his provocations, then he stopped.

"I don't know who they are, but it's better that they leave now before I kill them all," he said as he looked towards the trees.

"I don't think you have a chance to do it," answered a cold voice, i turn my head to see where those arrogant words came from.

An old man in his 60s stepped out of the shadows, a hat adorned with a long black feather covering his long scruffy hair, a long royal blue coat with gold buttons covering his arms and back while in his bare chest hung a gold medallion, a black pant were held by a white ribbon, leather black boots, and a sword at his waist, he was the portrait of a pirate, unconsciously dragging me towards his direction and he was walking closer slowly where I was.

"You are very funny old man, but no one will laugh at all your shit anymore" said the creature while laughing uncontrollably.

The old man ignored him and said, "I'm sorry I'm late Dan, it's all my fault" as leaned in front of me many was dried tears in he eyes, I could notice a touch of sadness in his words, after that he stood in front of me And I look directly at the creature, an invisible pressure surged from its body and covered the environment.

The creature's face lost its nefarious smile and stared at the old man for a while, after waiting a moment he attacked the old man with his fist, the old man did not dodge the blow and also threw a punch at the beast.

The clash of fists caused an explosion, the gusts of wind made me fly backwards, just before I lost consciousness, a man caught me and I heard him say, "don't worry, this is the end".
