"What the actual fuck was that all about?" Rimuru asked Kaede with a serious expression

"What are you on about?" She asked back

"Don't pretend to not know, what the fuck was that whole ordeal with Naruto? that was just cruel!" Rimuru all but screamed at Kaede, visibly annoyed, cause I wouldn't call it anger, that's not it

"Oh, that... what's so serious about that? he is our enemy, simple as that" Kaede shrugged as she answered

"We both know you didn't do that because of that" Rimuru narrowed his eyes

"Uuuugg, what a drag... Okay, fine I did it because I was bored, anything wrong with that?" Kaede answered with a visibly annoyed face

"What the fuck do you mean by 'is there anything wrong?'?

is there anything NOT wrong with what you did? that was basically psychological torture!" Rimuru pointed out

"And?" Kaede asked back

"And? and what? that's so wrong" Rimuru answered exasperated

"Dude, we are evil, that's what we do... unless you think we aren't evil any more?" Kaede asked with a tiny bit of curiosity

"I know we are evil, I never claimed not to be, but...

everything we did that is evil, always had at least a purpose, what you just did achieved NOTHING it was meaningless cruelty, that's not how we do things!" Rimuru exclaimed

"Oh, right. How could I forget how we achieved great things by killing the original Kaede, Sakura, and the whole Konoha village in the future... silly me" Kaede said mustering all the sarcasm she could

Kaede just conveniently forgot that all of that was done when Rimuru was in HER form, except the original Kaede one, because obviously

Rimuru just let it go after that

he could argue that he killed Sakura to enter team 7, but... was it really that? who could guarantee he wouldn't end up in another team? which he actually did, ending in Shizue's team

The future Konoha village, as much as things like Boruuuugh, and Saraaaaaagh, deserved to be destroyed... that was not the case for the rest of the village who turned to dust...

Rimuru wasn't angry that Kaede tortured Naruto psychologically, no

he was scared

scared because Kaede IS part of him... it wasn't someone else who did that, it was him...

he felt scared that... that was him... and that's why he confronted her about it

he felt like Kaede could deviate from the path they took, and that seriously scared him... but what could he do about it? for now, nothing

especially because it was just his wild imagination, a guess, a probability, not a certain thing

He just... hated how he couldn't even understand himself anymore...

Naruto ate ramen slowly, as he talked with Luna

they talked a lot about what happened to him, but she didn't see any signs of genjutsu on him, and since he was alone when she found him, she decided to believe that it was a delirium of Naruto... for now, that is

"Luna... can you... do me a favor, please?" He asked hesitantly

"Sure, what's it?" She asked, having recuperated from her previous outburst

"Can you not tell anyone about what happened?"

As soon as Naruto said that, Luna knew exactly why he asked her

"I mean... I can, but you have to promise me that this won't happen again" She said sternly

"... I promise" Naruto said with a smile

"Also... uhh..." Luna also wanted to ask something, but she didn't have Naruto's plot arm*Cough* thick face

"Uhm? what is it?" Naruto asked in confusion

Luna blushed bright red as she asked

"Can y- Can you not tell anyone about me... you know..." She shuttered

"About you crying?" Naruto asked, oblivious

"Y-Yeah... that's kind of embarrassing..." She confirmed while she looked away scratching her cheek

"Ah, don't worry... That's normal" Naruto said

"What?" Luna asked seemingly shocked

"What what?" Naruto asked back

"What do you mean it's normal? my parents told me that strong people don't cry and that it is a shameful thing to do" Luna said with a bit of a weird face

Her parents weren't the most... conventional people, to say the least

Her father always talked about a cheese monster to her, thus she disliked it, and her mother... let's not talk about her, ok?

"... well, that is not true, it's okay to cry when you are sad, there is nothing wrong with it

crying doesn't make us weaker, it just proves we are still human" Naruto said a quote Hiruzen once told him, obviously, because he couldn't come up with something like that on his own

Luna looked at Naruto with wide eyes, what he said... actually made sense!

but she learned the opposite of that... she learned that crying made her weak, but if what Naruto said is true, and crying makes us humans... does that mean being human is being weak?

'OBVIOUSLY, LIKE DUH' Before she could come to her own conclusions, her other side answered to her

With a contemplative look, she decided to take a risk as she asked Naruto

"Naruto" She called

"Yes?" He asked back, having nearly finished his ramen

"Would you be interested in doing some investigations with me?" She asked him

"What? I mean, sure. that sounds awesome, but what are we going to investigate?" He asked

"A specific part of the Kurama clan... I don't know the name of it, but 'we' call it 'The room' " Luna answered and shivered involuntarily as she remembered that cursed room

'Are you sure we need to go back there?' Even her normally aggressive other side had second thoughts about going back there

'We need to... I think I have an idea of what they are trying to do there... and it's not good...'

Luna thought as she looked outside, the rain had stopped and the moon shone brightly on the sky, a determined expression appeared on her face as she steeled herself to what they would do
