摘要

In the world of Harcanos, there is a man who just recieved his class. One forbidden by those upstairs; a Necromancer. Beyern, no last name, will now use this class and his talent, long left buried, to catch up, and even surpass, those with a head-start, squeezing every drop of talent he can. ---- Talented necromancer is the story of Beyern, now please note, I did not say; ‘Beyern and friends’. This is about ‘Beyern’, and him alone, no matter if he has friends or slaves. The journey of Beyern is not over the flick of a switch, it’s not that one day he’s the loser on everyone’s mind, the next he’s the most powerful person to ever live. Basically; ‘This is progression fantasy, but with only a small pinch of litrpg’ -Due to irl time constraints, this novel is currently paused.

Chapter 1Class gained!

Bayern sat at the side of a river basin, mindlessly watching the waves. He was a 'Ord', someone who lacked a class. Though they weren't rare, for his age? They were.

One awakened a class from pure chance, and sometimes that chance keeps on getting missed, and that's how you find yourself as a 20 year old Ord.

You don't really get bullied for being an Ord, everyone's been one at some point in their life, they aren't useless or anything, it's just that Exts are far more skilled than most Ords ever could be.

The real reason it was a big problem for Beyern? He was an orphan, no parents in his mind, so he had to work and get money, but that failed many, many times.

Hiring an Ord over an Ext with the appropriate class was the same as shooting oneself in the foot, even when the Ord was more skilled than the Ext, since the Ext could keep on increasing their Mastery with some training, but Ord's were limited by the coils of one's body.

Beyern sighed while standing up, slowly stretching, thinking to himself 'That's enough brooding, let's see if there are any job listings around town.'

He was about to turn away, but suddenly, he heard the grass being pushed by something, as if someone was here. But they took but a few steps, silently waiting to strike.

Beyern quickly turned around, scouting the area around him, whoever followed him was either a novice Ext, or an Ord, what he heard being far to obvious.

Meaning, if he was smart with his strikes, he may win. He released a cold sigh, and advanced carefully towards where he heard the noise, somewhere close to the river shore.

But instead of finding another in waiting, what he found was a drenched bag, with some kind of red subtance staining it. It smelled rancid, though for some reason Beyern felt no aversion.

He quickly looked around, wondering if this was a diversion 'No, that can't reasonably be. Even if it were, then the Ext is way stronger that I am, so better to just give up and see what's in the bag.'

He took his dagger out, one he carried at all times, and cut open the bag, not caring to dismantle the knot.

He could not recognize the smell, but he still tried to put a finger on it, though he found out every guess had been far off the mark. Since within the bag, there was a cold, limp corpse.

'Oh shit, I'll just... Throw it back into the river maybe? Or should I bury it? Or should I start a forest fire? If the guards get their hand on this, I'll be the culprit, damn seers, I damn you all to hell!' He thought to himself, finding a disposed body was quite the new experience, and he was scared.

Not from the dead body, as most would be, he was scared of seers getting their grubby little hands on it. Yes, seers, they could see the past of an object and had a bunch of other esoteric seeing based skills available.

They're dangerous, and they've made life a nightmare for Beyern when he found out that they exist though being hunted by a novice one. You know why a criminal underbelly can exist when seers are on their way to snoop into the past, a class that counters that. All criminal classes provide some defense to seers and investigators, some even helping others to hide themselves.

He'd been inclined to burning the body first, but then realized it was soaking wet, and it would be safe from the flame. Throwing it back in the river was a no go, since seers. And burying it is also a no go since investigators will obviously be sent out when someone dissapears.

What could he do? What could he do? He had no clue, until a bit of blue answered his answer.

===

Congatulations, 'Beyern'

You have awakened the class 'Necromancer'

===

First thought 'Hell yea boiiiiii!'

Second thought 'Necromancer? Oh shit!'

Third thought 'Why not necromancer?'

Yes, that was basically his thought process. It was very simple, straight to the point, and suprisingly accepting of the title.

Having a forbidden class was better than having no class, the power of classes was just to good too give up on, no matter how dangerous it may be.

-----

After a few minutes, Beyern had properly calmed down, excitement and fear now having mostly drained out of his blood stream.

Necromancers were quite famous, a few in specific, who were able to fend off an entire kingdom's military alone. Though weaker necromancers just took a few mercs to take care of.

They used corpses as material to create undead creations, though he was unsure as to how, what the rules were for that ability, and what other abilities it had. It was a massive secret from the public, don't want any necromancers getting a good build due to that.

"Status." He called out, and unlike all the other times he had said these words, the system graced him with it's presence.

===

Beyern

Class; Necromancer.

Skills; Necromancy (lvl 0)

Masteries; None

===

It had almost nothing in it, but just the fact that he had it meant that he had become an Ext, breaking free from his Ord shell.

He remembered what the old lady at the orphanage said to do when you obtained your class "Examine; Necromancy." As if responding to his words, a new screen appeared before him.

===

Necromancy, lvl 0:

A varient of death magic, one where you bring forth false-life in the dead, maybe even a spirit could be formed.

-Gives the user knowledge of necromancy.

===

Beyern thought 'Huh, it gives me knowledge? Then why do- Oh wait.' The moment he wanted to know about necromancy, pure knowledge unconnected to any memory pushed itself to the forefront, though he could also find other little facts, said knowledge would not be obscured no matter how much he tried to suppress it.

Meaning he could not forget it, that was great!

But there was a big problem, where was he going to find a dead body? Maybe the cemetery or something would be good, but those were only for the very elite, since every other corpse was cremated.

Well... Serfs didn't get a cremation, they just discarded their corpses somewhere and kept them out of mind, and then once or twice a year someone comes along to burn them all down to ash.

Instead of wondering if it was morally alright to do so, Beyern's first thoughts were all about how to use his class. If he gets a damn class, he's going to use it, otherwise he'd be a retard. And he prided himself in his, not pure intelligence, but practicality.

But where would he get a corpse, it's like the answer was right in front of him, just sitting there, him ignoring it.

Beyern looked at the bag, and then slapped himself mentally. That's his first lab rat, he needed some practice to get it right in the future, and that corpse would be the sacrifice.

Nodding to himself, he dragged the bag along with the corpse out of the river bed, and into the grass. While he did so, he tried to take apart the knowledge he was gifted by the system.

It was... Complicated, to say the least. Making a puppet from a dead body would never be some simple process of saying 'Hazzah, you become undead!', that would be stupid.

First step was to feel one's mana, without any energy you couldn't do shit. Though luckily, this wasn't that hard, due to his class being magical in nature. With a minute of focus, he felt a mysterious force hiding within his heart.

Well, it was more like the heart held gate towards one's mana pool, not that the mana was actually within one's heart. Though that wasn't really important to Beyern right now.

Second was controlling mana, not that hard, again. Though it took some practice, he had the knowledge, not the experience. Took a few minutes to be able to hold mana in one place for more than a second.

'This won't be enough,' Beyern thought 'I have to make a way more complicated weave of mana to do necromancy.' Just guiding mana around in his body wouldn't be enough.

He plonkered down with the corpse a bit away, within a large clearing in the plains.

He put a few sticks and so together into a campfire, putting rocks around the fuel of a campfire. Then with a bit of effort, he spinned a stick so fast, that from dry grass and leaves an ember was formed.

He softly blowed air into the ember, increasing it's size slightly, while putting him inside the campfire along with even more dry leaves and grass.

It was, at that time, the beginning of twilight, as the sun was lowering below the horizon.

Beyern was certain that he would not sleep tonight, not like he had a home to go back to in his old town. Though, he did get a meal before he came here, as severance pay 'That bowl of soup was pretty good.'

He yawned while seeing if <Necromancy >- yes, he thought of it as that, it'd be annoying if you mistook 'Necromancy' with it's skill- had an answer to how to train one's control over mana, and sadly it did not.

So Beyern had to do the most scary thing ever, thinking for himself!

Such a terrible, evil, act was forced apon him by his class, and Beyern could finally understand why it was banned, no ruler wanted someone to; THINK FOR THEMSELVES.

"The horror- PFFF! HAhaaha!" Beyern's laugh resounded softly around him, dying in the air, only the crickets to hear it.

'But seriously, I should get a mastery. Let's see, what magical Masteries do I remember? Uhh... Spell-craft, mana-manipulation, mana-packing- and that's it...' The realization hit him in the face, the realization that there weren't that many magical masteries that he knew of, he never really thought about it before to be honest.

Though, that didn't matter too much, he could probably get a few from the library, or an old mage. You'd be surprised how open some old mages are to sharing knowledge, they pride their wisdom so much that they feel the need to show it off by teaching others.

Young Master's PoV: Woke Up As A Villain In A Game One Day

"Now you see?" she shouted in a mix of annoyance and disappointment. "You can't outsmart Scrients! They're the most intelligent beings across the two realms." "You're right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a heavy sigh. "I made a mistake. I was too arrogant to think that a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "Heik! Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I'm not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait, you can't. I killed them all.” ______ My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid, pointless scuffle, and in the middle of it, I tripped and hit my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in - the memories of another life, of a different world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First, I was in a game I used to play in my past life. Second, I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool and mysterious kind, either. No, my destiny was to be manipulated and die a dog's death! I was the worst type of cliché: an ungrateful, privileged, insufferable young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. The kind everyone hates — a snobby brat from a powerful noble family who thinks he owns the world just because he was born with a silver spoon lodged in his mouth. You know the type. The one the hero beats to a pulp to prove his worth. Yeah, I was that guy. And the hero? The hero was the kid I’d been bullying all this time. The same one I got into a fight with. He was the supposed savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And at the end of it all, the final antagonist of the game, the undefeatable boss… the Spirit King, was waiting. But could I even make it to the end? Could I conquer a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that was now my reality! “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could, but I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, twisting the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains before they could become threats - nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected? Who cares! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me—my survival, my life, my choices. “I will live this life with no regrets.” …But as I soon discovered, fate was not easily changed. And the price of altering one's destiny was steep.
