Starred Up

Deen, a seven year old boy, arrives in Korea with his mother Mia. With a strong determination to raise her son properly, Mia ensures Deen lacks no love in his life. In her spare time, Mia is a huge fangirl of the Korean boy group, TNT. But in an unexpected twist of fate, the mother-son duo end up being the neighbors of D3, another legendary boy group, which happens to be TNT's biggest rival. D3 consists of the short tempered Taewon, gentle Joon Jae and the goofy Jan. On top of that, Mia is hired as the personal designer for TNT, which consists of the charismatic leader Soo-Yon and the playboy maknae Cheng. Despite the rocky start, Mia and her son grow closer to all the members of both the groups. With time, the members realize they have fallen in love with the same woman, disrupting each group's dynamics. Furthermore, the origins of the hostility between the two groups resurface, making everyone involved question the decision they made a decade ago. As secrets unfold, the members vie for Mia's affections, Deen observes that she has eyes only for one of them. But which one of them will she choose? Soo Yon-Roly Poly?

I sighed. 'I'm at the shower right now!' I exclaimed. 'But you can take the clothes from the wardrobe though and figure out the measurements from them.'

'O-okay,' she said. I turned off the shower and wiped my hair, putting on a pair of jeans and a white shirt before standing in front of the mirror. Mina noona was right. My hair did grow fast in these three weeks. It was an army cut a few weeks ago but now my bangs covered my forehead. I used hair gel to spike them up. I became leaner and more muscular in the army. My agency wanted me to go back to my thinner self before I went to the army, but my physique turned out to be popular with the fans. My tanned skin became smoother. I liked my manlier looks; I could finally shed off that pretty boy image that stuck to me for years.

'Roly poly roly roly poly.' Huh? Someone was singing. It was coming from outside.

I stepped out.

'How far have you come, have you gone off to hide somewhere again

I've come to like you

I like you

Roly poly roly roly poly'

Someone was singing the band T-ara's song. And whoever was singing it, was tone deaf because the tune was all over the place. It was coming from the clothing section. A sasaeng? There was heavy security outside my room. It would be impossible to sneak in past them. Only staff members were allowed. But what if someone did make it in? I quietly peered through the curtains of the clothing section. It was a girl. She was holding up a pair of pants and had two of my jackets on her arm.

'Roly poly, roly roly poly,' she hummed happily as she studied the pants. 'Are these the right size?' she asked aloud to herself. Then she put them back on the hanger and picked up another one as she continued humming Roly poly. She then danced over to the other hangers to pick up more clothes.

'Roly Poly Roly Roly Poly

Even if you push me away I'm going to come back to you

Roly Poly Roly Roly Poly

You're only going to see me.'

She clumsily danced around as she picked up clothes and then put them back. I looked on, amused. I could tell she wasn't a sasaeng. Sasaengs were usually sneaky and secretive. They steal things from their idols indiscriminately. Cheng once had all his underwear stolen.

This one was way too cheerful and noisy. And she wasn't stealing the clothes, but seemed to be picking from them. From the jacket she was wearing, I figured she was a staff member. Oh yeah, I recalled. A girl knocked when I was at the shower. I removed the curtain and stood there, leaning against the wall. The girl didn't notice me. She was lost in her own world, happily singing and dancing around. I stifled my laughter as she did the Elvis pose. She almost stumbled but managed to keep her balance.
