I heard my curtains being zapped open but I remained wrapped around my blanket not feeling the need to get up. I didn't have a wink of sleep after what happened, I couldn't possibly find sleep, I kept replaying my encounter with William last night, I can't get the scene out of my head as well as the words he said to me. I had no idea why I felt hurt by that, it didn't make sense at all, I have heard worse when I was cast aside and called an omen… this just hurts differently for a reason I can't describe.

More importantly, I kept thinking of his sad eyes… they hurt deeper than the words he said to me.

"Young miss"

I heard Elvenia behind me with her usual stoic tone. "It's time to get up"

I said nothing and remained where I was without moving.

"Are you sick?"

Another silence and then a sigh came off her, well that was new.

"Elvenia" I began.

"Yes, young miss?"

"Why does the master wear a mask?"
