He nodded at them and walked past them as they bowed their head in respect.

He walked into another room where a tall man was eating food along with a similar-looking boy.

This was Kozuki sukiyaki and kozuki oden. The father-son duo instantly noticed the entrance of the old man and smiled, urging him to join their breakfast.

Isshin nodded and said he will, but he went into a shrine and prayed before joining them.

The father-son duo were loud and boisterous, both inhaling the food, both were extremely moody, one moment they were laughing and smiling and the other moment they were almost going to kill each other.
