Troublesome

Sid groaned painfully as he held his chest and didn't manage to finish his sentence as he coughed off blood and he thought that he received some internal injuries from the inside as he still felt those cracked bones, most particularly from his chest since the impact that he received from earlier.

He had a hard time breathing and was about to passed out when he felt his breathing became steady and the pain from earlier suddenly vanished without a second.

'J-just what in the…'

His thoughts were cut off when he noticed a spark of light that surrounds the area, and he also noticed that most of his wounds that he received were now healed and he looked at his other party members who were still unconscious that their wounds were also healed, and their breathing are now in a stable manner.

Although they are now out of danger, but because of the exhaustion from the fight earlier, his party members are still in an unconscious state but no longer in danger in their lives.

He didn't know what happened, but Sid could only think of one thing since there is another person with them and he could only conclude that this mysterious woman healed them first.

'Light magic? How rare to meet someone who wields that power…'

« ….. Get your party members out of here. I'll take care from here…. »

Huh?

Sid snapped from his thoughts as he looked around to find the source of that voice that he heard but for some reason, it's eerie familiar to him.

« …. Don't just looked around like a fool. Do as I say! Tsk! This is troublesome. I should just leave you and your party to death here…. »

Okay, that sounds rude.

But those voice, it's from that mysterious woman but really… Telepathy?

From what he knew, Telepathy is a high-tier mind magic spell, and only a few gifted people who wield vast magic affinity within them that could activate that kind of spell, but this mysterious woman could also wield this kind of power?

'Is there a hidden genius within the walls of this Empire?'

As he thought of it, Sid finally remembers as he looked at his front and from there, he saw the mysterious woman clad in black cloak as she confronts the hybrid-looking dragon however, there is something that Sid noticed about this monster.

Earlier, this hybrid-looking dragon was so fierce that it keeps on charging at them, if it wasn't for Toni's shield then, all of them would be wiped out within the seconds the moment this monster attack them.

However, right now, for some unknown reason, this hybrid-looking dragon seems somewhat… afraid? Huh? That doesn't sound right.

But he didn't dwell that much as he began to work as he went over to his other party members who were still unconscious and one by one, Sid dragged them at the other side, away from the battlefield that would take place.

After an hour of getting his party members on the safe place, Sid immediately turned his head towards at the direction where the mysterious woman stood in front of the hybrid-looking dragon and then walked over to reach at his side.

« …. I told you to stay out of here. You're no help here… »

Sid halted from his steps as he looked at the mysterious woman with his deadpan expression.

"Why not use your mouth to speak? You don't have a problem earlier though."

The mysterious woman; "…. Troublesome…"

Sid; "…."

'Is she f*cking serious?!'

Sid didn't know what to think about this mysterious woman's antics and even though he just met this woman, he could tell that she has an air of quietness and didn't like rowdy places, it seems.

*ROOOOAAARRR!

Sid got startled because of the sudden roar coming from this monster; "Woah! I forgot that you're still here, you monster!"

Right, there is still unfinished business that needs to be done.

Before he could react, the mysterious woman suddenly dashed towards the hybrid-looking dragon in full force and Sid was shocked because of the speed coming from the mysterious woman and then he watched as the woman fought the hybrid-looking dragon with her bare hands…

'W-wait a minute…. Bare hands?! Is she f*cking insane!'

"H-hey, don't be reckless, you madwoman!"

Sid shouted as he took his bow and arrows and tried to shoot the monster while the said monster is being distracted for a moment because of the mysterious woman's relentless attacks.

He tried his best to aimed at least at the eye to blind the monster to immobilize his movement and to give the mysterious woman a chance to kill the monster.

As he released the arrow to aimed for the monster's eye however, it seems that the monster detected a slight presence coming from the other side and when Sid had released the arrow, the monster managed to dodge the arrow however, it wasn't managed to counterattack the mysterious woman's relentless attack force that makes the monster stumbled on the ground and the earth's ground began to shake because of the impact.

" …. *cough! *cough! …. W-what the—?! That kind of power…"

Sid keeps on coughing because of the sudden impact created by the mysterious woman as she continued her attacks without stopping.

He could only watch the battle scene in front of him from the sidelines and as much as he tried to help out, but he couldn't do anything in this hopeless case of them.

Sid felt ashamed of himself as he let a passing mysterious person, not to mention, a woman to help them out from this level of danger that they had encountered during their mission.

He didn't mean to underestimate the mysterious woman who helped them out, as he can see how powerful this person was, as she took every attack on her without feeling exhausted, but he felt that it wasn't right for them to just let her do the job alone when it was their responsibility, to begin with.

He snapped from those negative thoughts and thinks of a way to, at least, to assist the mysterious woman who had helped them to their injuries.

'I don't want to be seen as useless anymore…'
