"I do not approve of it." Cotlin shook his head as he glared at Eve. but the woman did not care. She was staring at the files, scribbling as if she was possessed by the books.
For a second, he felt he was looking at the young Damien who lost himself in the files and worked to escape reality. How could they be so similar? No.. he shook his head. He had to dissuade her.
"Your grace, a woman fights in the social world and a man fights in the financial world. You can not change the norms. It is already taking a toll on me to dissipate the rumors around you." he sighed. Just by thinking how much men he had to hire and how many woman he had to convince to laugh on the rumors when they talked about Eve's adultery.
She had performed a good job in putting her sister to doubt. That was the only thing that was keeping all the rumors at bay. But that did not mean they had accepted Eve. if she would do something strange again, she would be boycotted again.
