The young man felt like his soul had been sucked clean out of his body.

At first, he felt a sudden rush of some kind of foreign energy pass through his body, and then, he felt nothing- absolutely nothing.

Neither heat, nor cold.

'The voice, it's gone.' He spoke yet again.

He thought of opening his eyes, but he couldn't. It was impossible.

He also couldn't move a single limb of his, he couldn't speak, and he couldn't move.

'What the hell? Am I in a coma or something? What is so hard to do anything?!'.

Like a flash, he suddenly remembered.

He was falling from a tall building and at the other side was a female, her face blurred in his memories.

'Lumin , that was my name. Before I ended it all after jumping from a five story building. But why did I jump though? Could I have been suicidal?'.

His memories were a bit joggy, needless to say, he could finally remember who he was.

'Why is everywhere so dark? Ahhh, Gosh I feel so weird. I can't even freaking speak!!!'.

[Initialising system synchronization]

'Eh?'.

He could see the blue light flashing before his eyes, the first thing he could actually see since he had jumped down from the building.

Lumin was quiet for a while.

'Holy!!! No freaking way, am I in a manga right now?!!!'.

'But you're a system?'.

[Correct.]

Lumin stared at the system interface glowing in his mind. These were definitely skills. He had read enough novels to recognize them.

'Basic regeneration? I'm guessing that's the one that makes a blop hard to kill, and Basic magic sense? What does that do?'.

[Basic magic sense helps to compensate for the blop's lack of sense. Enabling the blop to detect the presence of magic and other creatures around it.]

'Oh? Then how come I can't sense anything? The only thing I can see is your freaking template.'

[You haven't activated the skill through magic, would you like me to do that?]

'Yes please'.

[Request confirmed, the skill Basic magic sense has been activated.]

Immediately, The blop felt a rush of energy flow inside his body. It felt like its senses were finally opening.

He could tell he was on the ground, and the shape of his body became a bit more obvious.

He was simply a small oval shaped black rock; he knew nothing of his color.

Not only that, he could also sense that his kind were around him- all around him, in a small cave surrounded by what seemed to be flowing rivers- or at least that was what he was thought.

'Damn, it's not as good as I expected, but at least I can still tell one or two.' Lumin uttered, trying his best to cover as much ground as possible with his magic sense.

It wasn't enough.

He could barely sense past a few distances, and even the ones he could sense, the information he got from them was not enough for him to fully grasp what they were.

[I suggest you absorb mana from your brethren to strengthen your magic sense]

'What? Absorb what?'.

[Your Unique skill Essence Absorption Allows you to absorb magic essence from things around you. The blops here have been here for thousands of years, hence they have absorbed magic essence from the area, if you absorb them, your magic sense will grow stronger]

'Damn thousand of years? I'm surrounded by armies of uncs. So what? I just activate the skill and I'll start absorbing?'.

[Most of the blop are at close proximity, activating the skill will be most effective]

'Hmmm, okay then.'

The blop was ready. It activated the skill, and although it was it's first time using it, it felt very natural for some reason.

Red like energy began to swarm from its body, completely covering the rest of the black Blops around it.

Slowly, the blops around him began to dry up like dead leaves. At the same time, Lumin could feel his senses sharpening up.

He didn't stop, he kept on absorbing mana essence from the Blops around him, until -

Instantly, it felt like The Blop had eyes, ears and even skin over its body. It could detect every detail around it.

From the rocky walls, to the ragged river flowing around it. Even his half dead brethren seemed so clear now.

'Who would have thought a day would come when I'd miss being able to hear and see. Heheh, feels good. Ehh, but I can't tell the color of things though, it feels like a black and white video recording'.

He shifted his gaze to the side to see a dying blop. Since it no longer had any mana, it was hard for it to survive.

'Did I just kill my own kind?'.

[Negative, it will simply replenish its mana].

'Ahhh good system, another question'.

[Yes]

'How the hell do I leave this place?!!!' Lumin yelled instantly.

He and about 100 Blops were stationed on a small rock, right in the middle of a running river.

And since he had no legs or hands, Lumin knew there was no way for him to get off that rock.
