Chapter 15

Following the person the three of us walked side by side and I noticed that the other person with us who is named Kang Min-Jun seems to be familiar

Ah, that's right, he is, like me, a cannon fodder who will die in about three chapters after showing up in the battlefield

When I read the novel I've found that Kang Min-Jun had great potential to be a leader, although arrogant he still cares for his comrades

A pity though that he won't last

Maybe…just maybe, I could use him as I thought that I narrowed my eyes and my lips curled up

As we got out the academy we saw a carriage near by and the three of us got on it

As the carriage started it was awfully silent and awkward that even Oh Hyun Ki who is a coward and is shy was the first to speak as he said "H- How about we introduced each other--" but before he could even finish his sentence Kang Min-Jun cut him off and said "We already know each other's name, the man just said our names"

"Ah-…I see…" With that Oh Hyun Ki lowered his head embarrassed and the whole carriage fell into silence again

Eventually we reached the military tent and got off the carriage one by one

As we followed the man into the tent he said "Commander, they're here"

Suddenly we heard a familiar voice came from inside the tent and I just smiled already knowing who it is

"Come in"

Going inside the tent we were met with a round rectangular table with ten people in total, and in the middle is Evander

Oh Hyun Ki was stunned while Kang Min-Jun snorted coldly

After the man left us alone with the rest Evander spoke and said with a smile "Greetings students as you may know I am Evander Forest the commander of the military strategist team"

"Today I invited you three to ask about this" Saying that Evander pulled out a pile of papers which contained mine and the others test papers for the course strategist and said "And I would like to hear your opinions about your answers"

Hearing this Kang Min-Jun and Oh Hyun Ki were shocked while I snorted lightly

After saying that Evander called out Kang Min-Jun and said "Kang Min-Jun please explain your answer on why it is the human side's fault that the truce between humans and demons to collapse?"

After so Kang Min-Jun walked up to Evander and took his paper sheet

After looking at his paper Kang Min-Jun stood up straight and said with a stern face "Kang Min-Jun speaking sir, I would like to say that for the reason I held that it was the human's fault for causing the war is because the human's turned greedy at some point when they found out about the power of the demons that could be given to them by using a forbidden contract"

Hearing this everyone present nodded in agreement as they whispered "That may actually be possible"

After whispering that there was no more comment which made Kang Min-Jun frowned and Evander said "You may go to the side now, thank you for sharing your opinion"

"Next, Oh Hyun Ki"

Hearing his name being called out Oh Hyun Ki flinched and gasped before walking towards Evander and took his paper

After reading his answer again Oh Hyun Ki explained "For my answer actually I honestly didn't think it through and just suggested my personal opinion, I thought that since the truce between Human and Demons were started by the humans I thought that they might actually be doing a a false truce in plan by suggesting a truce that was meant to be broken in the first place"

Hearing this Evander smiled and asked "Why do you think so?"

Oh Hyun Ki replied "Because the humans probably thought that if the demons let down their guards then they could do a surprise attack and hold the victory"

After saying that Evander smiled even more and clapped as he said "Well done, I'm glad that there is such a person who will be joining the strategist course"

Oh Hyun Ki smiled embarrassed and went beside Kang Min-Jun who sneered at him

Finally Evander called out my name and it was my turn I thought

Hearing my name being called out everyone turned their heads towards me which attracted Kang Min-Jun and Oh Hyun Ki towards me aswell

As I walked I heard some of them whispered "Isn't he the student who made an incomplete answer?" Hearing this my lips curled up unconsciously and I took my paper work as I stood at the center and said with a smile "Greetings everyone, my name is Kim Han-wool, for the reason why I answered that it was the human's fault on why an even greater war started is because the humans like Kang Min-Jun and Oh Hyun Ki said has found something greater that caused for their greeds to be awakened. First the humans found a source of power that could potentially wipe out the demons and so decided to make a false truce to lower their guards, after so the humans begun collecting the source of power which resulted for the present to have powers such as magic and more, but in the end although we received power we didn't received peace and instead resulted an even greater war because of the hatred of the demons rose more"

Hearing my explanation everyone fell into silence and Evander was the first to break it as he asked "Why do you think this is what happened?"

I smiled and said "Because I just know it"

Hearing this someone suddenly exclaimed "What nonsense is that?!" and slammed the desk

Before Evander could even scold that person I smiled and tilted my head as I said "It's not nonsense, it's just the truth"

After saying this everyone fell into silence and Evander coughed as he asked "Is that all?"

I smiled and nodded and after so Evander sighed and said "Alright, you did well"

"You three may leave now"

After we left everyone was in an uproar as they said "His explanation explains it all but all he could say is how he knew it because he just know it?"

"What nonsense is that?"

"Commander please explain!"

Evander was silent and looked at my information as he sighed and thought 'Kim Han-wool, you really are mysterious'

Going back to our school we were about to separate when --

"Hey, Kim Han-wool!" Kang Min-Jun suddenly said as he glared at me

I looked back and asked "What?"

Kang Min-Jun walked towards me until he stood face to face with me

That's when I realized how tall he is, the original Kim Han-wool was tall but I did not expect there would be someone who is taller than Choi Kwan and Jeong Ji-ho!

Kang Min-Jun glared at me as he asked with his arms crossed "You cheated didn't you?"

….Huh?

Wtf? What kind of question is that?!

I answered bluntly "Ofcourse not duh"

Hearing this Kang Min-Jun chocked on his words as he thought 'Duh?'

I grumbled as I muttered "I thought it would be something important, who would've thought that it was just nonsense, hmph!" turning my back I walked away

Kang Min-Jun who came back to his senses shouted and tried to stop me but was too late as I was already far gone

Oh Hyun Ki bowed his head to Kang Min-Jun before also leaving

Nothing he can do Kang Min-Jun punched the wall angrily (You'll have to pay for that by the way)

Going back to my dorm I heaved a sigh when suddenly my head ached again and I searched for my medicine inside the drawer and immediately found it

Taking one pill I gulped it down and I laid down on my bed as I closed my eyes and the pain finally faded

After the pain faded I finally fell asleep.

The next day

"Today I'll be announcing the passing students which is only 50"

Hearing this everyone was in an uproar saying that it was unfair but I just rolled my eyes

As Evander announced the top 50 he then said "Also there will be a new announcement"

Not expecting this I raised my head and narrowed my eyes at him

Suddenly he glanced at me and smiled which suddenly gave me the chill

I have a bad premonition about this

"Those who pass the top 10 will be an instructor for the next month when the seven course which includes strategist will be gathering"

"And those who are the top ten are-- starting from top 10, Jee Hye, Ki Ji-hoon, Joh Sung Ho, Hak Ae-Cha, Im Dong-hyun, Han Eun-Sook, Gu Jeong-hoon, Kang Min-Jun, Oh Hyun Ki, and finally--"

"--Kim Han-wool"

…Shit, now this was unexpected.
