Chapter 9

Kaito and Bulma head to the garden inside their home. After walking in, Kaito spots a woman with blonde hair, in a bikni, wearing sunglasses on a lounge chair.

"What are you doing mom?" Bulma asked.

"I am enjoying the greenery here." she replied.

"Again with your silly things. Get up, you have a visitor." Bulma said.

She gets up, removes her glasses and looks at Kaito from top to bottom.

"I feel like I have seen him somewhere." she says.

"He was the kid who used to play with me when I was small. He came here many times." Bulma said.

"Ah! I remember. You must be Kaito. You sure have changed a lot and had become very handsome." She said.

"Aunt Panchy, you haven't changed at all since I last saw you. I am amazed you still remember me." Kaito said.

Panchy smiles and asks Bulma "So, you two kissed yet?"

"Yes" Bulma replies with a red face and then shouts "You don't need to know about that."

Panchy noticed Kaito looking at her. She shakes her hips and says "Do you like what you see?"

"Yes" Kaito replies. "Hohohoh... what a honest kid." Panchy says.

"That's enough" Bulma says and pulls Kaito away from there.

After they leave the garden, Kaito asks "Where is your dad?"

"He isn't with us anymore." Bulma replied.

"I am so sorry. When did he die?" Kaito asked.

"No you idiot. He is alive. It's just that, mom and dad, they divorced." Bulma said.

"Why?" Kaito asked while thinking 'This isn't supposed to happen. Is the butterfly effect this problematic?'

"Dad was cheating on her with another woman. She found out and they divorced." Bulma said.

"I knew your father's personality but, I never expected him to go for another woman. Then what happened to capsule corp. It's supposed to be your dad's right?" Kaito asked as they still were rich.

"The company is my dad's company but, mom was the one who invented the capsule technology. Both were scientists at the same lab before their marriage.

She invented the capsule and after they were married, mom wanted to relax so, she didn't go back to the lab. My dad wasn't the true genius, mom was." Bulma explained.

'This is completely different from the show. What's happening here? She is telling me that the capsule technology was invented by Panchy.

So, that's why when I visited here when I was small, I found her dad studying the capsule technology. I thought he was trying to improve it.' Kaito thought and was thinking of reasons as to why this happened.

Then it hit him. He thought 'Exactly, how could I forget this. I just didn't think this was possible.

My parents and theirs were colleagues. That's why we live nearby and my parents are close to them.

This change must have happened due to my parents. I don't know if this is true or not but, I think they came into existence due to me and they also ended up messing up the timeline. I have to take care of other factors.'

"Forgot about that now. Let me take you to your room." Bulma said and led Kaito to his room.

"Bulma, I want to build one basement lab. Are you ok with it?" Kaito asked.

"Yes. But, what do you need it for? We have a lab, you can use it if you want to." Bulma said.

"No. I need it to be a secret. I am going to get a new power up." Kaito said.

"Oh, what are you going to do?" Bulma asked curiously.

"I am going to get a tail." Kaito replied with a smile.

*Next year*

In Bulma's house, the door bell rings. Bulma opens the door to check who it was and she finds Goku with a bald kid and a police officer.

The officer said "You must be Bulma. These kids here claim that they know you. Is that true?"

"Yes. Thanks for getting them here." Bulma says and invites Goku and the bald kid inside.

"Who is he?" Bulma asks Goku, pointing at the shiny bald head.

"His name is Krillin.He is also a disciple of Master Roshi like me." Goku said and Krillin introduces himself.

"Nice to meet you Krillin. So Goku, what brings you here?" Bulma asks.

"I want to borrow your dragon radar to go find grandpa's four star ball." Goku replied.

"Didn't you take it before they scattered?" Bulma asked.

"The light around the dragon balls was too bright. I couldn't see properly and took the three star ball by mistake." Goku said.

"I get it. I will get the dragon radar, follow me." Bulma said and started walking.

"Are you guys going to find the dragon ball together?" Bulma asked.

"No. Actually, we are here to participate in the martial arts tournament. Master suggested that we should rest before the tournament.

Since the tournament starts tomorrow, I thought I would atleast come and get the dragon radar from you. I will leave to find the dragon ball after the tournament." Goku said.

Then Bulma led them to her lab and searched for the dragon ball radar.

Krillin asked Goku "You said that there was someone who was as strong as you are. Where is he?"

Goku asks Bulma "Where is Kaito?"

"That idiot is in his lab either doing something or working out in his gym. The funniest thing is that he now has a tail like you." Bulma said.

"What's weird or funny in that?" asked a voice from outside the room.

"Oh, look who is here. I thought you will live your whole life in that room." Bulma said.

"I am sorry. I know I didn't stay with you for long." Kaito said.

Krillin noticed Kaito's tail and said "Goku, he really has a tail like you. I thought you were the only weird person."

"What's weird in having a tail? There are dinosaurs in the wild and talking animals, wearing clothes on the streets. Doesn't that feel even a tad bit weird to you guys?" Kaito yelled.

Krillin and Bulma had a confused look. They asked "What's weird about that? It's completely normal."

'Ah! If you see something since childhood, it becomes normal for them. I guess I am the weird one here since I am from another world.' kaito thought.
