Avalon[1]

--Ray's Pov--

'How fucking long have I been sleeping for.' I asked myself while rubbing my eyes. I guess I passed out yesterday because of information overload. But I have to say, the spear art that I saw yesterday in my memories was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in my life.

[ 7 : 23 a.m. ]

It was 7:23 in the morning which meant I still had sometime before the opening ceremony.

I got up from my bed and headed straight towards bathroom. I got dressed in a blue suit which had golden patterns embedded on it. It is the formal dress of Avalon, that every student needs to wear or he/she will be expelled. There is also a badge that you need to put, it tells which year student you are. Since I am a year 1 student, my badge had Year one and my name written on it.

Avalon is a strict school and each and every students had to follow it's rule, doesn't matter what status he or she belonged to. The principal of Avalon is a SS rank Hero which makes Avalon one of the biggest powerhouses in all of human domain.

Combing my hair upwards, I made my way out of my dorm towards the auditorium. The air was filled with rich mana that couldn't be found easily. This air had so much energy in it, that it could make an old man on its deathbed run a marathon.

The reason of such air where the trees that were planted around the campus. They weren't your normal trees, each of them were found in a dungeon and were dug from there and planted here. I didn't dare to imagine about how much money it took to build the whole school.

Avalon was a school in name. Its size could be compared to big cities. It had everything in it, from stadiums to training facilities. It was a city in its own. All the teachers in Avalon were given a luxurious apartment of their own, free of cost.

Even though Avalon provided with such kind of facilities but enrolling into Avalon was as hard as finding a needle in a dessert. You need to be atleast G rank to enter it. But that wasn't all, you needed to pass a series of test as well. Then only could you get admission in Avalon.

You can imagine what kind of monster Noah is, since he came first in the entrance exam.

'What the fuck is that?' I thought to myself while looking at a tiger like monster which was resting under the shade of a tree. I was just calling Noah a monster because of his talent, I didn't ask the god to drop a real monster right Infront of me. Talk about bad luck.

Without disturbing the tiger's sleep, I took a round turn and started going in the opposite direction. I was now going in the direction I just came from. But I wasn't stupid enough to disturb a monster tiger's sleep. What if he suddenly gets a craving for food and then eats me.

After walking for another 15 minutes i finally reached the auditorium. It would have only took me 5 minutes but that monster made me took extra 10 minutes.

The auditorium was as big as a football field. I didn't understand why was it even called a ducking auditorium. It was way too big to be called a auditorium, I couldn't even see the other end of it from where I was standing.

The auditorium was very lively since everyone was trying to make new friends. Students could be seen talking in groups here and there, and there were those students as well, who were left out, most probably because of their ranks. Mine rank wasn't any good either.

My rank was 1769 out of 2000, making me someone in the bottom three hundred.

But to be honest ranks didn't really matter much in the entrance exam, everyone's strength was quite equal except the top two hundred ranks where the gap between their strength was quite significant. You could easily see someone whose rank is in thousands thrash someone whose rank is in five hundreds at the start of the year.

[8 : 15 a.m.]

The opening ceremony was going to start in 15 minutes. That would mark the entrance of our main characters. Each and everyone of the top 10 ranking was going to get a special award by the principal of the school. And all are main characters were in the top 10 ranking.

Doing this had two benefits. First - the rest of the students will work hard, so they want to be awarded as well and second, it will provide the new generation with arts or weapons that they could use to get stronger.

At exactly 8:30 the whole auditorium became quite and a domineering aura enveloped the whole auditorium. A man who looked like he was in his late 50's came on the stage. He was none other than the principal of Avalon, and don't be fooled by his appearance he was atleast 90 years old. His unique ability grants him extraordinary physical prowess which hides his real age as well as make him age slower.

The aura he was releasing was so strong and it made some of the students faint right on spot. I was hardly holding onto my consciousness as well. The thing to notice was that he wasn't even releasing 8% of his aura. Such was the power of an SS rank hero.

Taking a mike into his hand he started his speech.....

"... you all are the future pillars of humanity." with these words his speech came to an end.

'What was the need of such a long speech, you old bastard.' I muttered to myself. Unconscious students could be seen lying here and there, all around the auditorium.

After giving the speech, it was finally time to award the top 10 rankers. The principal called out the person who scored the most in the entrance exam i.e.

'Rank 1 Noah Styles, please come on the stage.'

As soon as his voice rang out, a youth started walking towards the stage.
