"Shh, calm down, Rina. I'm not doing anything bad to you. I just dragged you here because I saw them, and they were about to catch you looking into every room carelessly. You know you shouldn't be wandering around here, especially since Daniel's men might do something bad to you," Hunter said, his voice low to prevent someone from hearing him outside.
"And why do you care if Daniel catches me? You betrayed my brother! So don't act like you're concerned whether I get caught or not!" Rina retorted angrily, her eyes blazing with fury.
She then spun on her heel, reaching for the door handle to make her escape. But before she could pull the door open, Hunter's hand shot out, gripping her wrist firmly.
"Rina, wait."
Hunter pulled his phone out of his pocket, turning on the flashlight. The beam of light cut through the darkness, illuminating Hunter's face.
Rina could see the concern etched in Hunter's eyes.
