Mega Evolution

Aoki left the underground area and returned to his camp in the forest.

He sent Sabrina a message to find a dealer of the underworld who would buy the ores from him.

In this world too the value of gold, silver, and platinum was enormous so it was no doubt that if he sold everything Celebi gave him, he would be swimming in a pool of money.

As for the ores that had evolutionary stones, they could be used for further research or can be sold later.

He was not in a hurry to sell everything as he will have plenty of time later on after he finishes his initial goals of reaching a certain stage.

Darkrai had kept the pulsating orb of chaos along with the high-quality dusk stones in his dimension. It would take at least a week for him to completely assimilate during which Darkrai will not be coming out.

Aoki changed his mind and asked Darkrai to wait for a day before starting to absorb them as needed for something else.

Now he was going to do something that he was dying to do since he got his hands on the mega stones.

He took some machines out of his bag that he bought from Saffron City Black Market and began to closely inspect the mega stones that he had.

Earlier he had bought mega stones from the Pewter City museum but he has no idea which Pokemon they belonged to.

Aoki called out to Charizard to hold his mega stone for a moment as he began reading the change in energy in both Charizard and the stone.

Charizard could not wait to try out Mega evolution as he had heard tales from Darkrai about it.

He noticed that the energy Charizard normally emitted started to resonate with the energy the stone released which was slightly different from him.

"Charizard, think about me " Aoki instructed and began observing the changes in the keystone ring he was wearing.

It was observed that as soon as Charizard started thinking about Aoki, his keystone which didn't any energy till not started to resonate with Charizard's mega stone.

Aoki tried sending aura into the stone which made the link even stronger. More of Charizard's energy started to resonate with the stone and become the same as the Mega Stone's.

"Do you feel anything different Charizard?" Aoki asked as he stuck some stickers on his body to notice the changes. He took out a syringe and drew out some of his blood to test.

Charizard condensed a purple wisp and an orange wisp in his claws to confirm some things.

"The control of my Dragon-type energy seems to have increased " Charizard informed.

Aoki put the blood to though the machine and noticed that it is indeed as Charizard said. The dragon-type energy in his blood seems to have increased.

It was expected as Charizard after mega evolution attained the pure Dragon-type bloodline which was missing before.

"Time to test it out "

Aoki released all of his Pokemon and told them about his findings. Shelgon and Gyarados were overjoyed to find out that they could mega-evolve while the others were a bit disappointed.

Aoki assured them that they could mega-evolve in the future too as it was possible to create mega stones manually.

"Charizard use overdrive mode "

Charizard's eyes turned sharp as he used the Belly drum to lower his health and get an attack boost and activate overdrive mode.

The fire on his tail started turning purple as his energy started increasing as a cloak of Dark aura appeared around his body.

"Respond to my calling and become the incarnation of flames….Charizard Mega Evolve !!!"

Boom!

Aoki's aura exploded as the stone on his ring the mega stone in Charizard's hand sharted shining in bright rainbow light.

At that point, both of them felt a connection that never felt before.

Aura made them close to the point they could tell each other's feelings but mega evolution took a step further.

Both of them felt like they could share each other's visions as their senses connected together.

A sphere of energy covered the body of Charizard changing his body temporarily.

Charizard's energy kept increasing from the middle of elite rank to peak elite rank to champion rank.

Creak!

A new level of pressure enveloped everyone present there.

Shelgon and Gyarados felt their dragon blood trembling as they looked at Charizard.

The sphere broke apart revealing Charizard in his primal form.

He stood at a height of nearly 4 meters.

Pitch Black and Deep blue scales covered his body, his claws longer and sharper.

Spikes growing on the back of his neck and his shoulders.

His wings changed to a few forms following the same color scheme as the rest of his body.

Purple flames came out of his mouth and tail and most importantly having an energy level equal to a champion level.

It was Mega Charizard - X in his full glory…

Mega Charizard released a roar that shook the entire forest striking fear into every wild Pokemon.

The boost he received made him jump more than 15 levels in one go and it was only their first try.

Extremely dense fire and Dragon Type energy surrounded Charizard as he checked the changes with his glowing red menacing eyes.

Celebi and Zapdos immediately rushed out of their lair and were shocked to see the Pokemon standing below them.

Aoki drew some blood of mega Charizard to look into the changes and prepared for the next step.

"All right everyone attacks Charizard…..

Charizard no holding back use your full power !! "

Aoki said brimming with excitement as he could feel the changes in Charizard too.

He didn't care about the damage that will happen to the environment, Celebi and Victreebel will take care of it later.

Gyarados made the first move and used his strongest Hydro pump.

Mega Charizard opened his mouth and released a flamethrower so strong it completely evaporated the Hydropump setting Gyarados on fire.

The purple flames burned like anything making Gyaraados grit his teeth in pain.

Pidgeot was already near Charizard and used Uproar to stun Charizard but Charizard caught Pidgeot's mouth and used Purple Fire Blast on-point black range.

Pidgeot used Giga Impact to damage Charizard before getting slammed to the ground.

She balanced herself and moved back before Charizard stomped the place where she lay before.

Charizard's head snapped in a direction as he used Fire Blast against the incoming Solar Beam.

Before Victrebell could make another move, he was covered in a sea of purple flames which had the power of Dragon-Type mixed with it.

Clefalbe reflected back most of the flames from Victreebel with gravity power and created distance with repulsing force.

She started using Misty terrain which was not so easily removed.

Shellgon after gathering enough energy initiated Draco Meteor but Charizard instead of dodging used Outrage creating large explosions.

The range and power of outrage were so overwhelming that none of the pokemon were able to oppose Charizard.

At that moment Clefable used her strongest Moon Blast and Dazzling gleam dealing large damage to Charizard due to his dragon typing.

Clefable's Misty Terrain played a major role too in stopping the rampaging Charizard.

Darkrai suddenly teleported above Charizard and blasted him with Shadow Balls and Nightshade.

Charizard took the damage and used Dragon Dance to further increase his power and speed. But during the time Charizard was using Dragon Dance, he was hit with a combo of poison sphere, Thunderbolt, and Water Pulse from Nidoking getting poisoned.

The match was far from over.

So what Charizard received a major boost and reached Champion rank, all the training the squad did would be a waste if they could not take down a champion-level Pokemon together.

Aoki too felt his stamina and aura getting drained rapidly which increased more as Charizard took damage.

The devastating battle continued for an hour before Charizard lost a lot of energy and the Mega evolution came off making Aoki stop the battle.

All the Pokemons had various levels of injuries on their bodies but none of them were severe with Shelgon talking the most and Darkrai taking the least.

Darkrai as expected did the most damage to mega Chaziard while Clefable did her support role to get everyone get going.

The overall battle was very satisfying for both Aoki and Charizard.

Charizard had never experienced such addictive power before and felt that if he could become stronger at his base form, the mega-evolution would be more powerful.

Aoki too reached the same conclusion as Charizard.

In the mega form, the dragon type and fire type energy were in perfect harmony which was impossible normally in his base form.

He told Charizard that if he wanted to rapidly become stronger, he needed to attain that harmony in his base form.

All the Pokemons started regenerating with Aoki's aura while Clefable and Victreebel worked on patching up the remaining injuries.

All of them received good motivation seeing the major boost in power and the cool form of Aoki especially Gyarados who could not wait as his turn was next.

Aoki took back the mega stone and gave everyone a rest of 2 hours while he started to get some work done.
