Future Pyromancer
Kaiden spent his whole day gathering all the ingredients that he needed for his mother's health potion.
Apparently, it has 13 ingredients in total but two of them were extremely difficult to find. Even the Pharmacy that he visited a while ago may have trouble getting one of them.
Of course, Kaiden already has plans to get the last two ingredients that he needed for the potion. Although it is difficult to acquire, it can still be done.
The young boy arrived in front of the Magician's Tower…
The Tower is almost at the center of the city and can be seen even outside the city walls.
He wasn't sure how many floors this building has but he can guarantee that this is taller than the palace in the capital… Unfortunately, this tower will be destroyed once the Players targeted the city, about 7 years from now.
"Are you lost, kid?"
A guard suddenly asked after seeing that Kaiden was staring blankly at the black Magician's Tower…
"Ahh… No, I have to meet someone inside. Is it possible to enter?"
"Oh… Are you visiting a relative? They just have to let us know that someone is visiting them so I can open the gate for you…"
"Is that so? I didn't know…" Kaiden frowned after hearing this. Although he knows what to do once he meets the person he was looking for, he has to find a way to meet him first…
"That's right, but let me get the list first just in case the previous guard was informed about your visit…"
The guard then returned to his post without waiting for his reply and opened a book on the table. It seems to contain records of people that will visit the tower.
"There are no records here about a visit for today… If they forgot to inform us, I can call them now and let them know you are here… Just tell me your name and the person you are visiting."
The man kindly said as he showed his willingness to help.
It seems that Kaiden's decision to wear some nice clothes was quite effective.

Tereus's friends called out to him as they saw him still reading a book in the library and taking some notes on his journal from time to time.

They were all studying to become an official apprentice of the Grand Wizard in this Tower. In order to do that, they have to pass several assessments that would test their creativity, knowledge, and of course, their ability to control Mana…
Tereus is the youngest trainee in this batch and he didn't want to use this as an excuse to lag behind his study…
He needed to keep up with his older batchmates or even learn faster.
As he finished taking notes and was about to return the books he borrowed, he heard the librarian call his name…
"Tereus Brehan."
As soon as he heard this, he looked at the old female librarian who called him. He then saw her pointing at the door.
After following it with his eyes, Tereus saw one of the tower's security looking at him.
"Are you student Tereus Brehan? Your younger brother is looking for you outside the tower. We did not let him in yet since we haven't been informed about his visit."
"My little brother?"
Tereus was confused. Although he truly has a little brother, they have been separated after he turned five…
Now that he's 18 years old, he has already accepted that they would never meet again… As a matter of fact, he only has a vague memory about having a little brother.
"May I know his name?"
"Eldris…" The guard answered.

Kaiden was quite nervous as he wasn't confident that the legendary Pyromancer in the future would fall to his trick and decide to meet him.
He can only hope that Tereus would be intrigued by the person who would claim as his little brother.
Kaiden only knows a little about this person… After all, he only read about his story after he mastered the 3rd-Tier Ability of Pyrokinesis…
That's right, out of the 19 Superpowers that one could Awaken with, he selected Pyrokinesis…
It is the ability to control fire and it boasts destructive power… Not only that, one of its 4th-Tier Abilities, Ash Resurrection, would almost make him unkillable…
Unfortunately, before he could raise his strength and learn the 4th-Tier ability, he was targeted and stopped by the Players resulting in his death…

Finally, after waiting for a while, he saw a teenage boy walking to the front gate…
He has silver hair that gently hangs on his youthful face and bright hazel eyes that visibly show his confusion about the current situation.
He must be surprised seeing a 7-year-old kid posing to be his little brother…
The guard who stayed with Kaiden similarly saw the young man approaching as he smiled at the two…
"Your brother is here. I'll open the gate for you."
The guard said as he removed his hat and made sure to show his face to Tereus… He then opened the gate for him to enter.
'I see…' Kaiden immediately understood. The guard was definitely looking for a favor from this young student that is about to be an apprentice of the Grand Wizard.
If he played it correctly, he might even get promoted to his position after Tereus climb to a higher status…
Tereus just gave a single look at the young boy and he already realized he is not his younger brother. However, he didn't say it for now as he wanted to know the reason why the kid was doing this.
Before he could speak, the young boy approached him as he took the initiative and explained what's going on.
"Sir Tereus, I know that you have boxes filled with leaves of Blood Marjoram and roots of Sanguine Creeper… I would like to purchase some of them… I need it to save my mother right now and these two would greatly help her recovery. In exchange, I can pay you with my gold coins and I can also give a piece of advice so you can easily pass the apprentice examination…"
Kaiden didn't pause as he said his piece.
He knows that he appears as a suspicious person right now, but he can't miss this opportunity.
