at that moment Percy was sent flying because of a hammer that killed him.

Percy entered the fog gate and saw... a big man carrying a hammer, then suddenly another man jumped down from the balcony carrying a spear.

from that moment the spear glided across the ground and I raised my shield to block that attack.

the hammer guy proceeded to slam Percy into the wall.

so began Percy's torturous journey with the famous duo.

Dragon Slayer Ornstein and Executioner Smough.

Ornstein was the smaller man but moved extremely fast, and Smough was the big man who was slow but hit extremely hard.

Percy's main problem was with Ornstein. because while focusing on him he would forget about the other guy and would get killed by the man's hammer.

of course, it wasn't completely impossible, but Percy had to learn to be vigilant. to sense hostile intentions.

and honestly, this saved him lots of times in this fight.

because when Percy was keeping an eye on Smough he was also sensing something from him as well.

that made this fight a bit easier. and when Percy finally managed to kill Ornstein Smough absorbed his power and this caused Percy to learn the timing of attacks because the enemy had new moves.

but eventually, Percy did win.

Percy took the elevator up and for the first time was so glad to see a bonfire.

Percy upgraded strength, and now he could 1 hand his sword. now was another challenging fire Percy... should he use a shield or not.

that's something Percy will have to deal with later.

Percy opened the door and met a giant woman laying on the bed.

there was an option to kneel but Percy was too defiant to kneel, hell he had been through a horrid fate and gods could kiss his ass.

I ignored her as soon as I got the Lord's vessel and left the room. not before flipping her the bird.

with the lordvessel Percy warped to firelink shrine.

Percy went to the boneyard after ignoring the giant thing and went to the graveyard and jumped into the hole.

Percy placed the Lord's vessel but found out he still could warp.

upon exploring the graveyard Percy found a dark cave and ventured down, only to find immortal skeletons and a flying head that blows up.

for the skeletons, all Percy had to do was kill them and walk past them, or at least fast enough to do it.

but the good thing about exploring this dark and cramped area?

one of the black magicians dropped this item

this allowed Percy to see in this dark place.

upon exploring Percy met a man named Patches, and while he asked if he was a priest Percy went with no. since he wasn't.

...but Percy got through it all and finally met the joke of a boss called Pinwheel.

I mean sure pinwheel could summon clones, shoot balls of whatever those things were and levitate for a few seconds but Percy killed him first try.

and you know the next part? well, Percy found the bonfire thanks to the light that the skull lantern provided.

but getting kicked in the back by patches? not cool.

at least he got cool stuff from it.

at least he got to save that one priestess, but had to kill her bodyguards that have long turned hallow.

Percy lost track of how long he's been in this darkness. the only thing that kept Percy sane was Night.

The night was that light in this darkness... ironic isn't it? how someone named Night could be so ... huh that's weird, was I about to make a joke about her being sunny?

Percy sat near the bonfire staring off into the darkness. Percy for the first time was stumped. so he did what any person would do...take a nap and deal with this later.
