3 months later

I spent three months trying to learn and maintain Haki, and if I do say so myself, the results were outstanding. It took me less than a month to be able to use Armament Haki and another 2 months to increase my duration time while using it. Plus, I can cover my whole body in Haki, something only Vergo could do in the anime from what I can recall, though it does take a heavy toll on my body, but still a neat trick to have.

During this time, I tried manifesting Conqueror's Haki but to no avail, it seems I don't have the ability to use it, quite a bummer. I'm not going to bring myself down just because of it, I have a fuckton of other useful skills too.

Namely my devil fruit abilities and observation Haki. In order, I can now basically teleport to other places with a simple thought, though there is a catch, I can only teleport to places that have smoke coming out of it, which there aren't much of except chimneys and fires. And before you ask, no fires don't hurt me.

My observation Haki has seen an improvement too, my vision is a lot superior than before, I can see a toal of 100 meters in front of me, useful in spotting enemy ships and troops.

As for my rank in the Donquioxote organisation, I'm an official member of the Donquixote pirates, granted I'm basically in rookie position right now, though I'm in no hurry in improving my position. Honestly, I don't how to feel working under scumbags like Doflamingo, he's a complete psychopath, wanting to destroy the world. But the job pays well. And you know what they say, money makes the world run. That's true on any world.

"Boy, I hope you remember our deal. I taught you Armament haki, now do your part and bring back me back my glory," Chinjao said, seating Infront of me, pointing to his blunt head.

I nodded, standing up, "this might hurt a little so just… bite the pain," I used Haki, covering my entire right hand into a hard, black material and with a sigh I smashed it into Chinjao's head, making sure to bring out a pointy shape as I slid my fist across his head.

His skin created waves that rowed all the way to the top of his skull till finally creating a pointy structure. It felt as if my hand was a dough roller.

"It seems like it worked," I smiled, removing my hand from his head and looking down at Chinjao. He was knocked out from the pain, his eyes completely shut.

'He's in a hell of a surprise when he wakes up,' I thought, placing Chinjao on his bed.

With that I did my part of the deal.

(Chinjoa's POV)

A few years ago, I was a renowned pirate, known for my glorified sharp head.

But that all changed.

I still remember it like yesterday.

I was a pirate crew captain with my own personal squad, my men loved me, they respected me and followed me.

Till that bastard Garp came along and changed it all up.

I lost to him, I lost my pride, my pointy head, and my trusty men. They were captured and put to jail by Garp, as the made a way for me to escape. I will never forgive him, I will seek my revenge, by either killing him or his blood. One way or another.

And here I was, with no crew to call my own.

And no pointy head I glorified so much.

But that party changed when Mark came along. At first, I thought he was nothing short of canon fodder, but he averted my expectations, he survived in the colosseum, and what surprised me even more, his strength grew exponentially in just a few months.

He'd learnt Observation Haki in under 2 months, it was nothing short of a miracle, it takes normal humans' months to years. What was he?

When he came to me asking to learn Armament Haki, I was intrigued to say the least, he said would return back my glorious pointy head to me. It wasn't guaranteed to work, but hell, I would take the slimmest chance at my head returning to normal shape. Deep in my mind, I wanted to know how long it would take him to learn Armament Haki? 6 Months? Maybe a year?

But no, he subverted my expectations again, he masters something that took me 2 years in just under 3 months with time to spare, he was truly a special human, probably the most special I've come across, including the D family.

And to top it all off, he kept his promise, he returned the shape of my head, my lost treasure.

I'm deeply indebted to the young man.

I would be by his side when he needed me.

Using my skill [Shadow step] I quickly made my way to the palace where I would finally receive a task, also where I would meet Viola for a new mission. The past few days I've been bored out of my mind, the only thing occupying me was mastering Haki, but with that over, I'm back to square one.

With a smile, I opened the door and walked through it, hoping I would get an interesting mission to take part in, as I took a seat in front of Viola, who was busy on her work bench.

"You know you could at least greet me," I smirked at her.

"You seem to be getting better every day, with your sneaking. You'd make a great thief," she glared at me, seeming a little surprise at my pin drop quite entrance.

"Not a bad suggestion, I might actually do that once I retire," I chuckled. Our relationship had seen an improvement, for one she wasn't so dry at her response and she was a little more jokey.

"It would definitely fit your annoying attitude," She smiled, pulling out a sheet of paper from under her work bench," Anyways, you've got a new order, different from usual, you have to grab the poneglyph at Alabasta,"

Steal a Poneglyph? How peculiar, from what I recall, Doflamingo had no interest in those.'' Any reason for doing this, I mean Doflamingo isn't really interested in becoming the pirate king, so why does he need it?" I asked, completely confused, Dofalmingo was only interested in making and selling SMILES from what I recalled.

"Honestly, I have zero clue, I have no idea what he's thinking, no body does. He gives us orders and we complete it. That's how it's always been," she said dryly.

"Well, do I have to grab the entire Poneglyph or just make a copy of it?" I asked, unsure, bringing a huge slab of stone with me sounds like a pain in the ass.

"Just a copy, I'd rather not see you break your back trying to lift one of those," she said," when do I leave?" I took in a breath.

"The mission has to be completed within 1 month, any time within then is fine as long as you can complete it within time." With that, she handed me a pouch containing gold coins that I would use for the trip, which I took.

gimme gemstones, dear readers
