Chapter 9: Jolly Roger

Somewhere in the middle of the ocean a ship was sailing with two humans occupying the ship, one was a man with blue hair, orange eyes, reaching 2 meters tall with a crescent-shaped sword on his right side and a silver gun engraved with "Moon" on his left side in line with his belt, while the other, was a girl with a blonde hair, blue eyes, reaching 1.7 meters tall, holding a Log Pose on her right hand and a map on the table.

"Ugh, Jane when will we reach the next island? It's so boring sitting here all day long, I'm getting impatient" Renz said to Jane.

"This, it will take few more days before we reach the next island"Jane replied to her impatient captain.

"Ugh, okay then, I'll just wait" Renz exclaimed as he laid his back on the deck while both of his arms are wide open.

"Oh" Renz look at the sky and saw the top of the mast, an idea has came to his mind.

"To become a Pirate, Jolly Roger is of great importance as a trademark of the ship and the Pirate crew" Renz thought to himself.

He stand up and walk to the cabin and find a piece of white cloth. He cut the white cloth to a square shape and he started sketching. The Jolly Roger is a skull with a crescent-shaped sword around it and with an orange eyes with a flame pattern.

"Tada!! From now on this will be our Jolly Roger, KAKAKAKKAKA! We will be called the Night Howler Pirates!" Renz happily exclaimed.

Jane saw her captain who has a childish expression enjoying his own made Jolly Roger, she can't help but smile and blush "Yes Captain Renz, we will be now the Night Howler Pirates"

Jane who has a bright expression on her face, was instantly replaced with a serious expression as she saw the change in the sky.

"Captain, we need to get ready there might be a storm coming on our way!"

"Oh, a storm huh? This will be my first time encountering a climate like this here in One Piece World" Renz thought to himself and started to fly at the top of the mast and pulled the sail upwards and tie the sail to avoid the strong wind.

He went down and walked to the stirring wheel. He started to stir the wheel to avoid the upcoming waves. The waves started to hit the hull of the ship making their ship sway left and right. The storm lasted for an hour and finally calmed down.

"Captain, the Log Pose pointer is unstable it seems we're lost" Jane said.

"Well, we are indeed lost and it seems the Log Pose don't have the record of the Magnetic waves here" Renz replied.

"What are we gonna do captain?" Jane said as she is a little bit nervous that they are lost.

"Don't worry! I seem to have an idea where we are" Renz said to ease the nervous Jane and patted her head.

Jane blushed and said "Really captain?! Then I'll leave it up to you"

"This scenery, if I remember correctly, this might be the Florian Triangle where one of the Shichibukai reside on the island Thriller Bark "Gecko Moria" Renz exclaimed.

The scenery has a chilling vibes on it as a mist was around it, with dark clouds and many wrecked ships with skeletons passing through them, After a while of sailing in Florian Triangle, a large wrecked ship has came out of the mist, twice the size of the ship Renz is residing in, the bow of the ship has a skull and horn on its head, the same as the jolly roger on its sail with a crossed bones behind it.

"Yohohohoho" A laughter was heard on the direction of the large ship.

Jane who heard this hurriedly run to the back of Renz hugging his left arm, she said to Renz with a shaking voice "Wha-what was that Captain?"

Renz just grinned "it seems my guess is right, with this laughter it just confirms my precognition from before"

Renz hold the waist of Jane and jumped at the bow of the ship. He revealed an exciting look as he saw a tall skeleton with afro hair, dressed in formal attire, with a top hat and a cane.

"Brook! The former Musician of the Rumbar Pirates and will be the future musician of the Straw Hats Pirates in the anime. KEKEKEKEK! Brook will be a good crewmate, he is also a combat type, if he learn haki he will be strong enough to even fight the commanders of the Yonko. This will be great if I recruit him, my crew will be strengthened. Yosh! I've decided, I don't need to feel sorry to the Straw Hats, well, as a respect to them and recruiting his future crew member, I'll just help him when the time comes" Renz said to himself as he was thinking about it.

Brook walked to the deck with his cane and bow to Renz and Jane as he greeted them "Oya-Oya, greetings my visitors welcome to the ship of the Rumbar Pirates, I'm Brook the musician of the crew, Yohohohoho!"

"Wahh! the skeleton just spoke!" Jane said as she jumped on Renz arm.

"Oya-oya, it's been a long time since I have seen a beautiful girl. But I don't have eyes though Yohohoho" Brook walked in front of Renz and Jane.

"Miss, would you let me see your panties?" Brook said to Jane.

"Hell no!" Jane threw the Log Pose towards the head of Brook.

"Boink!" a bulge has erected on the skull of Brook "Oya-Oya, what a harsh beautiful lady, Yohohohoho!"

"Okay stop now, your name is Brook right? and your a member of the Rumbar Pirates? But I don't see anyone alive besides you, except you, everything are skeletons lying dead on the deck" Renz asked Brook.

"Oya-oya, pardon my rudeness sir. As you have said before. I am indeed a member of the Rumbar Pirates, it was a long-long time ago, ever since we entered Grand Line we have face many dangerous places and climates. We were all happy that time, singing and drinking all the time. But happiness will never last forever, it will always be coupled with sadness, as all the members slowly succumbed from the poisons one by one, leaving the world with a smile on their faces, leaving only me alive and it was thanks to my devil fruit ability giving me a second chance to live" Brook said with a little sadness expression on his face.

Oh sorry for my rudeness, btw I'm Fukuro Renz the Captain of the Night Howler Pirates and this is Jane my first crewmate" Renz said to Brook as he sympathized him and started to change the topic to brighten up the mood.

"So Brook-san I have an offer for you that you might like" Renz said to Brook.

"Oya-oya, what would it be sir Renz that you want to offer me?" Brook replied to Renz.

"I would like to recruit you and join on my crew as our musician" Renz said seriously looking at the eyeless skull.

Brook who heard Renz statement had a shocked and his eyeless skull has widen, but it only turned into a frown as he turned down the offer of Renz "I'm sorry sir Renz, as I can't accept your offer even if I want to"

Renz who heard this had an expectant look on him as he already guessed that he will be rejected, but he acted like he didn't know and ask Brook "Oh, why is it that you can't join even if you want to?"

"As you can notice below my feet, I'm a shadowless and it was stolen by someone. He is a devil fruit user that can steal shadows of other people and one of the Shichibukai "Gecko Moria" Brook replied with a sad expression.

"I see, then if you get back your shadow will you join me on my crew?" Renz said.

"Th-this, the opponent is strong and I don't want sir Renz to take the trouble of fighting a Shichibukai as you will only get in danger" Brook exclaimed.

"I may be looked like a powerless guy but believe me, even that Shichibukai you talk about doesn't even pose a threat to me, so I'll ask you again, would you like to join on my crew if I get your shadow back?" Renz said with a serious expressjon on his face, he is not arrogant as he also knows the extent of his power, even if it is a Shichibukai, Renz will not back down, especially when it attracts Renz interest.

Brook sensed that Renz is determined to go through his trouble just to make him a part of his crew, so he said with a determined look "I will Captain Renz!"

"Yosh! that's what I'd like to hear" Renz mood has brightened that he finally got to recruit Brook on his crew. The next problem is to take care of the Shichibukai.

Jane who heard this also has a bright expression as they finally got a new member and his frightened look from before has changed since she heard the story of Brook.

"Welcome to our crew Brook-san" Jane said to Brook.

"Oya-oya, thank you miss Jane. So, would you like to let me see-" without even finishing his sentence he got slapped by Jane who had an angered look and quickly went to the kitchen room and shutted the door.

"KAKAKAKA! You really are funny Brook" Renz laughed, as he hugged his stomach and slapped the back of Brook.

"Oya-oya, I'm still an amateur compared to Captain, Yohohohoho!" the both of them laughed as Jane threw a knife from the two crazy bastards laughing.

"Didn't know Jane had a cute side on her" Renz said as he caught the knife with his fingers.

"Okay Brook, I'll take a bath first in my ship and you take your things from that ship and come down when your done"

"Aye-aye Captain!"

Renz takes a bath and went to the cabin where he is staying, he opened the cabinet and saw many clothes. He tried to wear the clothes he chose.

"Oh, I'm really handsome huh! This will make Jane nosebleed, KAKAKAKAK!" Renz wearing a black suit with a white cravat tie, paired with a black pants, black shoes with shiny edges, he also wore a black gloves and a dark blue cape with a blue outline.

Renz went to the kitchen room where two people is waiting.

"It's time to eat Cap-captain" Jane stuttered as he saw the new look of his Captain, revealing a red blush from her face.

"Oya-oya, Our Captain is really handsome, Yohohohoho" Brook praised Renz.

"KAKAKAKAK, I know that Brook. Well, it's time to eat now" Renz patted the shoulder of Brook as he sat down to the opposite side of the blushing Jane.
