Watchdog
Jessie wasn't sure why she was awake, but something felt off. She opened one eye and saw her hand was resting on a pillow instead of on her husband. Maybe he had gone to the bathroom. She closed her eyes and waited, not wanting to wake up without his arms securely around her.
After a while, it was apparent he wasn't returning, and there was a soft clicking sound coming from the opposite side of the room.
Jessie turned her head and focused blurry eyes on the figure sitting on the couch. While the man was similar in build to Min Jun, the periwinkle hair and permanent scowl didn't belong to MJ. Jessie blinked, praying she was dreaming, and with an effort, she would wake up to find the image on the couch was a mirage.
Instead, he turned his head toward her.
Luke. Why was he here?
At least he wasn't in her bed. None of the BEXT guys had any qualms about crawling into bed with Min Jun and her.
