Larry had created Perry the way he did because he wanted someone to talk to. It seemed that was all the socialization need he had.
People's socialization needs were different. He knew that from his research.
Perry's were higher than Larry's. He did not like to be alone but he could tolerate it because he was used to it. He used to spend many, many hours by himself in the office before he was human.
He could keep himself entertained but he preferred being around those he liked if possible. He was glad he could be with Larry this weekend since Noelle was gone.
"It is good that you do not mind," he said, not knowing how else to respond.
Larry let out a small laugh. "Yeah. So don't worry about me, okay? I'm really fine with the way things are."
"I will try. I always worry about those I care about."
"I know. You're a good kid."
"Thank you."
