One Of Those, Huh?

Callie only worked weekdays. On weekends, she took Carter out to the library, the park, or wherever else was free for kids to hang out as much as possible and then spent the rest of the day in their room if any of their other roommates were around. 

She had plans on Easter to take him to a free egg hunt that was happening at a park near their apartment that was sponsored by a local charity. She had gone to something like that every year since he was two because he couldn't afford to get him a proper Easter basket full of candy and whatnot. 

This year was a bit different though. She hadn't quite paid off all of her debts but she had more money to spare than usual so she got him an Easter coloring book and materials to dye eggs.
