Victoria gritted her teeth. It wasn't any of Hunter's business what her problem with Gwen was. She hadn't thought he would be this difficult to sway.
"$60,000," she counteroffered.
"$75,000," Hunter said firmly. "That's my final offer. I don't usually make it my business to cause trouble for people who keep their noses clean. I only expose people who are doing things that are newsworthy."
"If I'm going to give you $75,000 for this, you're going to have to create a scandal if you can't find one."
"I'm afraid if that does end up being the case, there will be an additional fee for my trouble. I don't create scandals, lady. I just blow them up."
"How much?" Victoria asked with an exasperated sigh.
"Why not double? $150,000 ought to be enough for making me do something outside of my usual business," Hunter replied casually.
