"No but after what I saw, it hit me that the restaurant had to be a front. There were never any customers. I thought that was weird before but it seemed too much like a movie so I didn't think about it before then," Sam muttered.
"Look. I'm not involved in this. All I did was unwittingly end up working at a mob-run pizza parlor and witness a murder. I just want to live my life in peace. I don't have anything else left to say."
"Wouldn't you be more at peace knowing that the men involved were locked up?" Detective Manchester asked.
Yes but Sam had heard what the Mafia did to witnesses. He might not even make it to that point. He wasn't willing to take that risk.
